Annoying stuff mate. Glad you found a fix.
Sounds (and looks) hilarious though. -
Yes please.

Now that would really make Cyclops useful. Especially in the more predator-crowded areas. -
Meh.
Beacons are useful enough for navigating the game. When in doubt, drop beacons.
On my first excursion to the Lost River/Lava Castle I left a trail of beacons behind me to help me get my bearings. Like Hansel & Gretel… -
Take Sparse Reef and it's massive caves.
One especially suitable entrance to the cave system lies near the Grand Reef border. It's almost like a natural harbour for the Cyclops if you align your base structures properly. -
Nice! I find it quite awesome that you did a non-vehicle run with the game in its current state. Must have been tons of fun and challenge.

What do you think these tweaks might be? -

Because it seemed genuinely unique. And that it is.

It was a cool idea, and ideally it could have been very useful in some certain caves.
I'd say remove it, and make an easier-to-implement replacement item for complex cave-system navigation. Maybe a HUD-chip or something, that will trace … -
I remember starting to play somewhere around feb-march-april of 2015. I think the Aurora had just become explorable or something. Not sure if I remember correctly though!

Oh right.. Didn't notice they don't do that anymoreAlready there mate. I've been drilling quartz happily ever since the PRAWN update. Sparse reef is an especially good place for that.(Quote)
I never knew the game was situated in 'Murica. Some do, some not.Looking at the huge amount of work that's been put to the current way of building during the last 2(?) years, I don't see the developers making such a fundamental change.
The idea is nice though.I don't mind the current level of aggression in general.
Although otherwise the creature behaviour types are too simple, roughly being either aggressive, passive or elusive (never curious for example). I think differences in behav…(Quote)
This sort of navigation plz. It would make perfect sense. It would seem a believable solution for an Alterra PDA that is set in emergency-mode. In the beginning, in your lifepod, the PDA obviously starts in emergency mode, which co…(Quote)
No actually I just wrote utter nonsense So I can see why the confusion! I did not mean to say saving should not …I say Roguelike. Hardcore ought to be hardcore. If you can save your progress, then it's something else. Of course also different stages easy-mode should be available for those who wish to play so.I've solved this issue long ago by starting a new HC game after every major update.
It has its downsides, but it's fun. You can really see how the new things merge into the game as a whole.(Quote)
There is much silver to be had from Kelp Forest, especially it's caves. You'll just have to deal with Stalkers. Note that the Kelp Forest biome is separated by the Safe Shallows biome in many places, so in a way there are "many" Ke…(Quote)
Do you think pumping oxygen would require more energy than producing it locally after a certain depth or pipe length has been reached? Perhaps like how BENSKI here suggested in his elaboration?
I mean that would certain…Well you certainly have a nice topic for your thesis! Best of luck with that! Will it be in English? If so, will you perhaps post it on the forums?
One point on the survey though. It does not take into account the participation through t…Neat stuff.
Looks like the Brain Coral. Combined with the exterior grow bed they can be used to create a cheap, easy and limitless oxygen source nearly anywhere.
If the devs ever implement those tentacles as hostile, doing th…(Quote)
Spot on mate, I thought of precisely the same thing when the update with the Scanner Room emerged. In fact I think they ARE going to implement something of the sort. I mean check out these pictures from the Cyclops control room. Th…(Quote)
Aye. It seems to me that the PDA is designed to enable the survival of an untrained person. So some basic guidelines should be given.
Just look at the Aurora. They had tons of equipment and stuff. The crewmembers of the…Here's a challenge for everyone:
Play hardcore, do everything, give constant good quality feedback and bug reporting.
If you get bored: ride the Reapers near the Aurora with the PRAWN Grappling arm, until you get eaten.
…These are all good ideas. If implemented they would polish the game nicely. I hope the devs have time for the little details such as these.(Quote)
I've got me two friendly Reefbacks. My base is on top of the big pillar in the Grassy Plateaus, near Lifepod 17, so they hang around frequently. The one closer to the surface is called 'High-George' and the one closer to the bottom…(Quote)
That might be a good upgrade, the Bio Reactor is not really useful as of now.Oh I do love Hardcore.
I like how you have to plan for emergencies before you go for a trip.
For example in my Cyclops I have a locker that contains all the necessary stuff to quickly build a small emergency habitat with a nu…
