If you're having doubt about it being worth the effort, I'd advise against starting that endeavour, you have to feel it's worth it. That's why I pretty much started this topic without the intention of maintaining it. I'm not ready to invest that muc…

Yeah, I like it a lot too. I even thought about 'Bijtpaddestoel' myself, but then I thought: what if they actually implement a mushroom with a big gaping maw that bites... in Nederlandse vertaling (Dutch Translation, discussion mostly in english) Comment by Merandix June 2017

(Quote) I'd say the Acid Mushroom needs a proper Dutch name before we worry about its spores. The original translation was halfway there, but again 'English disease': "Zuurpaddestoel" is a descriptive name for an Acidic Mushroom, but it doesn't r…

It's the nature of survival games. That's why most survival games also have a creative building aspect to them, and it's also why so many players ask for more options in base building and vehicle modification. Because that creative aspect is -usuall…

Is Subnautica or steam being blocked by your firewall perhaps?

Yes, my behind has multiple Stalker-bite-marks since this happened. It is quite annoying, I think I'm going to test if anything is solved when I deconstruct the scanner room. It's proven to be underwhelmingly useless anyway unfortunately, I'd had ho…

Is your base very close to the ground somewhere? Because I usually get this when I terrain almost comes poking through the floor. Somehow, my character forgets about the seabase and loves hugging the seafloor.

A solar panel only produces power when it is day. If its storage capacity is out, and it is night, that solar panel is no longer recognised as part of the base. Also note it actually loses connection at night. Looking at this from a logical point of…

Terraforming is being removed because of hardware limitations period. That includes PC. I honestly hope base compartments digging into the seafloor is also ending as Teraforming goes away.
I'm all for sea-floor dwelling creatures, so by … -
In real life, a 250-500 litre/hour desalination plant uses about 2 kW of power (I looked up one of these on the internet). Our futuristic desalinator has a significantly lower capacity, and is way more advanced, so it will likely use significantly l…

My main issue with the Cyclops is that its bottom half's only function is there to annoy me. Here we have a sea-floor oriented game, and our sub is surface oriented. The large and useless chin and entire bottom section is what annoys me. Yes, I like…

You bought an Early Access game. Large portions of the game's optimization still have to happen. It's also VERY cpu-intensive. Basically, the game bottlenecks on your CPU. It will improve eventually.
Early Access is also the reason why y… -
Our coms array is firing distress calls in every direction, and we won't get saved within a few hours if we're below a busy space shipping route? People sure have gotten rude in the coming few centuries.

Simply converting to litres and rounding to a single decimal point. So 1 Oz becomes 0,3 litres (or a standard 300 cl bottle)
Which brings me to another point... why use the fluid ounce in the first place? I think it's the ONLY US customa… -
As awesome as this is... with the charge fins, battery recharging really wasn't the issue... it was power-cell recharging that was the issue. I'm very curious to see if a solution to that will be included, because that's mainly where my recharging p…

I believe the Aurora no longer is a terraforming vessel. This was 'fixed', I believe in favour of storytelling. We don't even know where it would be mining, for all we know, it was just scanning planets on its way to -find- a suitable location. Or i…

Judging by the need to scan everything, I'd go with biologist, or at least general scientist.

I just made a long post on this in the other topic about this subject. We don't have guns because real guns are useless underwater. And specialised underwater firearms are pretty much strictly military and are likely only as good, or worse than the …

The PDA has assessed the situation and has determined our survival needs. A normal gun has virtually zero range underwater. If you fire an assault rifle underwater, you could pick up the bullet within two paces after firing. In fact shorter barrelle…

It's not stupid, simply make the hole in the bottom. This already exists in real life; and it's a FAR more practical way of entering and exiting an underwater habitat than the immersion breaking hatches. A hatch isn't even really necessary.
I dislike the quartz crystals. I'd much prefer to have to process sand into silica, which then can be processed into glass. Seems more immersive to me.
If that isn't an option, then I'd prefer quartz crystals to become rarer, and have a …How is once every 10 hours 'rare'? Once every 1000 hours on average is rare-ish, a catastrophic event that causes damage to your belongings should occur extremely infrequently, and most games should happen without such an event happening. Fixing stu…The terraformer will most likely be removed, so your issue will be 'sort of' resolved. It's also the reason why you likely won't see a solution to your problem while we still have it.The exosuit won't be flying as far as I'm aware. The thrusters on the back of the thing are most likely to be hydrojets, which are used for propulsion in water. The Devs already have this info through steam analysis and their own bug-reporting system. But we can be curious anywayA tiny and cheap moonpool as a 'luxury personal entrance' into you base would be fun too...Uhm, LeakingAmps and Requiemfang... would you please reread my post, a bit BEYOND the bit you quoted? Because I actually agree with you guys on the technical and programming time standpoint.
Yet, with 'it doesn't work for this game' it i…I think most of those are much better than my own suggestions. I'm surprised I managed as much as I did with the amount of sedation in my blood XD (which I'm not used to)
I'm also impartial to Dutch translations myself, but I know quite …@Requiemfang It doesn't work? Good heavens. Look at seabases and tell me again modular doesn't work with this game <.<
I agree with your assessment t…
