Randomly removing items that a player might be depending on having available is an absolutely terrible idea, as far as gameplay.

Like, trying to go below 100m without rebreather unlocked should pop a mission to unlock the rebreather.
Scanning ANY sea-truck wreckage for ANY portion should unlock a mission that results in base sea-truck becoming unlocked.
The problem? Floating plastic. The solution? Floating plastic!I'm not terribly enamored of Steam lately. Try and get ahold of their customer service. Besides the web ticket. Apparently a single, hidden phone number?
There IS no contact besides that. No chat, no email, no nothing. Just a web ti…I'm still hoping for a streamlining of the resource system.
COLLECTING resources is fine, and fun.

If you get gross enough, all the carnivores should actively avoid you. And if they do bite you, they should get poisoned!
Nobody likes to think about it, but humans can get pretty vile. Excrete through our skin, in No Bath or Shower? What`s wrong with this idea? Comment by EvilSmoo October 2018Sea Emperor Leviathan.
We can each claim that the other is the pet, and take over the world!Yeah, this has been suggested before.Yeah, I think there's two ways to do it. An Aurora visit is by far the easiest, but I don't see how having a second way could be bad.So what happens when you split a power source, and run it out a ways, and then back in, before the split?
2500 power, split to 1250 each, run one back into the rear.
So now you have 3750 power to split? Which splits in half …Why are people so entranced by using or repairing escape pods, or repairing the Aurora?(Quote)
I know what you mean. I'm fine, as long as I can just follow the bottom out from shallows to wherever. But going straight down activates the bits in my mind that scream at me about that being a terrible idea. Cyclops is a…Why can't we deconstruct them for scrap?(Quote)
As opposed to what, exactly? Currently, the ghost leviathan just takes your hull to zero and kills you. Don't you just lose EVERYTHING? You lost the fight, or didn't run fast enough, there should be a downside.
Who cares?
Seriously, it's single player, not an MMO. An infinite supply of cameras is pretty useless.
I've never made it an entire game with legit materials. I don't mind collecting stuff, that's not the issue. I just can…Prawn suit could get arms torn off... probably relatively easily?
Hull damage to larger extents could disable a random module on the Seamoth. Say, hull falls below 50%, and the game rolls 0-3, and disables that slot. Can it be language limited? Both for voting and downloading. Getting a time capsule with a bunch of Asian writing, or Russian would just be meaningless to me.

How about this: a large, platform-mounted beam device, that points at the Aurora.

Yup. The fabricator needs to (potentially) search EVERY SINGLE STORAGE CELL that it can access. If it can pull from 3 lockers, and each locker has 48 slots, it has to check (up to) 144 slots. For EACH ITEM that it wants, so it m…(Quote)
Some realism makes sense to dispense with- like decompression. Having massive ballrooms super-deep in the ocean is silly, though.(Quote)

I know just enough about programming to be slightly dangerous. If a transporting fabricator searches lockers, it takes time. Each slot in each locker needs to be checked for each item the fabricator wants. So if it needs 3 items…Larger structures are worse at standing up under extreme pressure, though. So for safe shallows, sure.
For down at -900m though, they should probably have about -1 integrity per meter under sea level. Just a ballpark idea.
