I like the sense of exploration on the surface and the upper biomes... but as soon as we get to the deep areas of the game and the caves then it suddenly becomes a frustrating mess. Everything is so dark, and your trying to wedge a gigantic cyclops …

Something I'm wondering. My prawn got stuck in a hole along with a lot of valuable crap. Because the first time I went into the power plant, it acted as if it was filled with water. When this gets fixed, will my prawn be stuck into the world geometr…

*facedesk* It happened to me again. In build 38227. Ruined hours of playtime. I'm just done. Uninstalling until this is fixed.

The funny part is... normal reactor rods last for years. We shouldn't even have this problem.

Considering how everyone says that making multiplayer is way easier if you start it from day one, this really seems like the best idea. Making a completely separate game, perhaps set in the same universe, which is multiplayer from day one.
Anyone know a good place to watch for updates?I guess I'll wait till the bug is fixed. Ah well. I had fun derping around inside the Aurora, at least.Does this only happen when saving inside the cyclops? Can you avoid it? Right now I'm worried to even play the game anymore, because I'm at the stage where I move my base inside the cyclops. And if it vanishes, thats really not good.Put a few floaters on it. Hilarity ensues.Appreciated. I'll just keep the cyclops empty for now, I suppose. This just happened to me... it vanished with everything I had in it. Including the seamoth. How do I use the console to respawn it?
I want to be able to scrap the pod of its kit, fabricator, communications array... hell. Go full Degasi on it and scrap the whole thing for titanium and circuitry.(Quote)
lol see my thread on why the above isn't true.
As for the sandshark aggro. The predator aggro is... weird. I've had a playthrough where I had a base nearby a kelp forest. Things were fine for days, then all of a sudden …Well, finally I found two of them. In the kelp forests. After I had built a seamoth and searched high and low. I've noticed alot of fragments were moved inside wrecks, which I like. As it makes sense, and makes them centralized to a location instead…I'll keep looking. As of now, I swam all the way to the floating island, scanned the multipurpose room, and set up a bioreactor. Still haven't seen one solar panel fragment.Well... the spaceship you crashland is called the Aurora... So I name my Cyclops the Borealis.Alright, I've decided to downgrade back to the standard update. I don't want to ruin my experience by playing half-finished content. Honestly, I wish I could forget about this game for a year. Because in that time, it will no doubt become a much bet…I'm having trouble deciding whether to keep on making new experimental worlds, or just wait for the next update. I feel almost like playing experimental is spoiling me on the next update.(Quote)
Did you forget to mention the part where if you tap those guiding rails with the cyclops, suddenly you get ocean rushing into your base?
I remember when I first built my cyclops. Clipped the moonpool as it was co…My first lifepod decided it had enough of my shit after a week or so. Luckily I had a base mostly built by then. It ended up somewhere far off to the horizon.
My second lifepod I penned in with air pipes. It nearly tilted up onto its sid…Yeah, thats exactly what I was thinking of. Good to know they are also thinking of it. I guess its one of those things that falls under 'if we have time'.Perhaps something like a side hatch. Like a docking gangway. A horizontal clear tube that the cyclops could 'attach' to when you get close enough. You'd need another door in the side, likely. Unless you wanted to make the tube vertical. But if you d…Thanks for all the tips. Yeah, I did notice that fragments were now centralized more in wrecks than before. Which is kind of a problem, since for me they can be kind of hard to find. I mean, to find a biome you have to generally just follow a direct…(Quote)
Great, now I want a shoulder mounted torpedo launcher. o_o
I'll stick my toes into this again with a thought I've had. From some of the comments by your AI companion, it seems the culture the crash survivor comes from is very vegan-esque. A few of the PDA's about researching the wildlife from the Degasi sur…Honestly? Sometimes I'm just super frustrated by lack of options. When your riding high with repulsion and propulsion cannons, thats all well and good. But at one point early game, I was getting my butt gnawed on by two sharks that hat set up right …Do you need to start a new game to access this?
Edit: You can, but... there is nothing inside to loot.Heheh, nice catch. There would always, in fact, be a net loss of energy from a bioreactor. Since your converting one thing into another. But this is a videogame, and they needed an excuse to power things that aren't near any other source of power. P…Honestly? Something I'd like to see for a multiplayer addon for Subnautica is an entirely new submarine. A bigger one that you can helm multiple people on.http://subnautica.wikia.com/wiki/Planet_4546B To quote: "Planet 4546B has a history of missing ships, dating back at least 30 years."
