    I would just like to make a comment. I know alot of others feel the same about this as i do so feel free not to flame me or edit this. This is not NS; CO is not NS. You guys developers it seems included are turning NS into CS. Co has itself ruined NS as you cannot get enough people on your server to play unless you have CO up then when it goes to NS map they all leave. The whole project should be scrapped and put back to 1.04 (the best NS) but thats for another forum. I just wanted to get the opinion out for all the others not expressing their feelings...


    also funny how that last screenie looks just like CS with NS weapons (more proof for my argument)

    Have you even played MvM? It's NOTHING like cs, sure they have custom models, people used to do that in 1.04, it's not like that makes it any more cs-ish. Really do you expect a game with jetpacks, mines...im not going to list em out, they were posted earlier, to be anything like cs?

    as or that other person guy, If you've ever played MvM, you'd know it's not like cs (as stated above) it's a totaly different community, that's what makes Ns so much better, different types of gamers (Oh and theres ways of telling them apart! let me assure you! oh oh oh!!) giving for a totaly different experience.

    and as for AVA I just need a damn test server and i'll be able to figure it out, but I got people for that (just their NEVER online) so it should be ready soon.

    You're right! MvM maps are eaxctly like CS, except that you have more varied weapons, armor upgrades, you go up levels, theres more maturity, theres people who know how to type, few if any little kids, and virtually no cheating/hacking.

    Hmmm, looking back at that, its nothing like CS.

    Seriously, go play an MvM map. I would recommend co_cs_assaultm (yes, its a conversion of the CS map, but work with me here). If you don't have crazy-go-nuts fun, then something is wrong with you.

    For the life of me I can't get co_cs_assultm to work, there's no ready room so you start off spectate coming in and jointeamone and jointeamtwo don't work <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->, and somehow I got it to start using sv_cheats but when I tried joining I was a skulk?<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->?

    Just hit F1 or F2, thats what usually works.

    Or, wait until an admin auto-assigns everyone in the ready-room.

    There seems to be a lack of a way to tell if a server is running an MvM map, now that several of them are popping up.

    I propose a new map prefix. This will allow us to filter for them just like entering "co_" or "ns_" as a filter lets you seperate co and ns maps.

    How about mm_ ? Unless another mod uses it.

    mm_sillyv3, mm_hammer, mm_assaultm, etc

    i believe it will have to keep co_ infront

    co_mm_sillv3 would work tho.

    The reason it needs co infront is because this is what ns uses in order to tell which system to use be is ns or co. So they still need these prefixes in order to function correctly?

    I totally agree with the mm_ but it should be a suffix for when ns normal can be this way too. I had the same idea last night, aa_ should also be used for the alien vs alien maps. So then the maps would be like co_silly_mm co_"whatever"_aa

    I'd put the indicators like "mm" towards the front, because its easier to search for "co_mm", rather than "co_[Name]_mm".

    Oh, and just out of curiousity, what problems have people run into with AvsA? Does it crash the server, or what?

    I'd imagine you would just flip the team names and change team_command to team_hive...

    youd think that it was, but it's not, it's actually a real pos to get working, seems that instead of team 1 it goes to 4, and that's too far away so team1 spawn points dont work, but sincce in reality there is no team 4, it just bugs up and you spawn as spectator, then spawn wherever... I got a way to work around it but it's going to be a bugger to live with.

    and I'm for the mm_ in front, so if I ever get around to it the next one would be co_mm_sillyv4 if I did it would have light fixing, and spawn protection... so meh

    And a way out of the Silly room, I hope.

    I heard people on a server talking about it, saying things like "STUPID 'SECRET' ROOM!" and "Nine levels down the drain..." and "Admin, slay me, I'm stuck in the secret room".

    Other than that, good work. Love the map.

    Yeah I suppose using mm and aa as second pre-fixes would be the best option and its actually a good thing you need the co_ first cause mm_ is used by another mod.

    I would jus tlike to add that this MvM is just like CS for those of you who have already said that Good job, I one thing this way BECUZ It is one a CO map which i have started to get used to i hate them to death and wish they was never created but hey i can live with them as long as the ppl who join it come to the NS map after... now this idea for a MvM i think is 100% CS, yes i know there isn't any MINES or Jetpacks or cc's or any of that other stuff but you know all its missing is hostys and a bomb and you got yourself a CS map.....Please tell me how killing other humans as a human isn't CS becuz this new map creation is gonna ruin my likeings over NS if someone can't change my mind
