    Name one single similarity between CS and NS, other than it's humans with guns vs. humans with guns, and you win a cookie. Seriously, think of something.


    Alrighty... I finished my Marine vs. Marine metamod plugin (it's my first real plugin that isn't just someone else's with a few lines of code changed, which is why it's taken so long =P).
    It has a maplist, enable/disable, and an option to change the colors and distance the glow shell is from the model.
    As soon as I can get on to the other computer that has the pluggy (probably 1hr or something), I'll post it.


    About recoloring marine skins and switching them:
    I tried this at first, recolored the marine LA skins to red, and wrote a plugin to give team 2 the new models. However it was tremendously buggy, causing noclip bugs (walking through other players), and no-damage/invincibility bugs. Apparently no one knows how to fix such a problem, not even the plugin coding gods at #metamod. =/

    Nsarmslab have allready marine vs marine maps.

    co_alloy.bsp (very nice, dark map and is like laser-game based)'
    co_cs_assultm.bsp
    (cs_assult map with ns settings "requires cstrike.wad", fun like hell)

    unfortunately right now none of them are available for download unless you play with armslab, or find someone who does to give it to you.
    The only public release, that we've been playing on campus here for the past 12 hours and is excellently done, is co_sillyv3 done by Mr.Bill and his post with the link regarding such is WAY back near the beggining of this forum.

    you could is you had the cc unreachable for both teams in a NS map. and hidden Res nozzles...

    only lmg, knife and pistol kills the entire time.

    no comm=no upgrades....

    Yeah theres a link on the first or second page I think to a place on how to do this, or you can search through "hi!"'s post to get his well done .rmf

    and I cant stress this out enough AvA Does NOT work properly, co_gar2v2 if some have you have played it will know it's buggier then sin, and thats the only way you can do it.

    I dno't know whats with you people but iit's combat ONLY no other upgrades, and AvA dosn't work properly whats with all this "res nodes" and crap talk? I don't know how many times I've repeated this before!

    K, now I need to get something off my back, I'll start with a few examples, so bear with

    Tfc - two teams of man vs man assault - Capture the flag
    Dod- two teams of man vs man assault - WW2 based
    Cs- Two teams of man vs man assault - Ct and T
    MM - two teams of man vs man assault - nothing special

    Now, a bunch of people say mm is EXACTLY like cs, now here's the thing that REALLY ****'s me off, Tfc, Dod, Cs, AND MM all have something in commen, and hey, guess what? it's the SAME damn thing that some whinny people base they reasoning on! "it's EXACTLY like cs because its Man vs Man". let me clear this up, in exssesive use of caps

    MARINES VS MARINES IS NOTHING LIKE CS

    Who wants to know my reasonning? I don't care I'll tell you anyway, TFC itself is considered different because it has CTF, but hey its MVM ANYWAY so it's exactly like MM! yea- NO!! NO ITS NOT their COMPLEATLY different! who cares if their both MVM, and so is DOD, and guess what? so is CS! YEAH! using "some" people's "views" we could EASILY say DOD, TFC, and CS are EXACTLY the same mod, why do we need 3 of them!? Hell, I'm sure theres a hell of a lot more mods like that (firearms?)

    And yet, some people take the worst of those 3 mods, and compair it with MM, personnally I think that's a sin and anyone who thinks that should be burned.

    and in short for those who didnt bother read it TFC CS DOD and MM all have the same thing in commen, their all man vs man, does that mean their the same? HELL NO so quit your bitching and stay to your damn ns servers! and we'll stay to ours!

    The second is a forced team glower + an experimental fix for the CC welder bug. The plugin moves the team 3 cc off map, and spawns a team 2 CC in it's place. When the team 2 cc is killed, the plugin kills the team 3 cc. I've only been able to do very limited testing with it (thus, it's still "experimental"). It's available <a href='http://www.modns.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=413&st=15' target='_blank'>here</a>.

    If it's possible to make a new generation of MvM then it's very possible to make the same with AvA.

    NsArmslab.com got new maps again and now have they soon putted up a server for Only MvM maps.

    that's what i know..They exist and the server run MvM maps. The server can vote to orignal maps like ns_eclipse but then they crashes. I have played first an MvM map on theyr server and after a change to a normal map, this is true :

    Nexus do you know anywhere those maps can be dl'ed cause I can't connect to the armslab sevrer since my college filters the gaming port <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo--> pings are over 2,000 easy. A bunch of us play on lan though, so far the only mvm map we have is co_sillyv3 which is awesome, but we've already played it almost 30 times so we're hunting out more mvm maps and armslab appears to be the only other.......... but apparently their not making them available for download?

    I tested that plug-in, and I found a REALLY big problem.

    If the CC is at full health, and you start to weld it, it drops to one red bar, so you have to weld it again.

    I don't know if it actually has that much health and could be destroyed more easily, but it is a source of free XP.

    Thta could be something to do with welding, as on co_sillyv3 if the green team (team 3) weld the comm chair, it takes damage. It happened to us, the other team won because of it.
