    Oh wow. Heh, that was some code I added in there to help me test killing it (dropped cc to 1k hp for easier killing). I must have forgotten to remove it when I compiled the final. Let me recompile and reupload.

    i have downloaded and played 2 mvm maps from nsarmslab.

    They work fine on their server. But do not work when i start a local server or on my own server. Therefore i can only conclude whoever made the maps has made them only work on nsarmlabs

    I can see where u can dl them but i downloaded all via the server.

    What is so hard? wait only while they dl, and if someone have released them on internet i give u the link.

    If i dont find them downloads, add me to msn so i can send u them if you want.

    We are not ns-players we are more then ns players i think.

    This is forum-players, and the reason is all about MVM maps.

    Give me some ideas how it can be better with MvM..

    I believe you set it up normally, with team1 spawns, team1 cc, team1 armories, and then team2 spawns, team2 armories, and a team3 cc. Think that's all.     Bry,I actaully had downloaded one off a link someone from armslab had, it didn't work aeither, but I was fearing that only on their servers was the issue, I was just sorta hoping my dl screwed up, oh well good to know its not only me.

    As for HAL "trash" hardly you wish it fact, and like I said before if you don't want to play don't, a lot of people have put hard work into this so I advise you walk away before you make a lot of people agry got it?

    Tfc - two teams of man vs man assault - Capture the flag
    Dod- two teams of man vs man assault - WW2 based
    Cs- Two teams of man vs man assault - Ct and T
    MM - two teams of man vs man assault - nothing special

    Now, a bunch of people say mm is EXACTLY like cs, now here's the thing that REALLY ****'s me off, Tfc, Dod, Cs, AND MM all have something in commen, and hey, guess what? it's the SAME damn thing that some whinny people base they reasoning on! "it's EXACTLY like cs because its Man vs Man". let me clear this up, in exssesive use of caps

    MARINES VS MARINES IS NOTHING LIKE CS

    Who wants to know my reasonning? I don't care I'll tell you anyway, TFC itself is considered different because it has CTF, but hey its MVM ANYWAY so it's exactly like MM! yea- NO!! NO ITS NOT their COMPLEATLY different! who cares if their both MVM, and so is DOD, and guess what? so is CS! YEAH! using "some" people's "views" we could EASILY say DOD, TFC, and CS are EXACTLY the same mod, why do we need 3 of them!? Hell, I'm sure theres a hell of a lot more mods like that (firearms?)

    And yet, some people take the worst of those 3 mods, and compair it with MM, personnally I think that's a sin and anyone who thinks that should be burned.

    and for the thousanth time in as many days AvA does not work properly! I've explained this time and time again, it does not work like MvM if you want a REALLY detailed explanation check <a href='http://www.lunixmonster.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=782' target='_blank'>here</a>

    and that whole thing about everything is set up normal, except team 2's cc is set to team 3, is right so gl with that.

    and im kind of dissapointed armslab is maknig their maps for their own server, but maybe someone else will try to make a new public MvM map sometime, it would be nice.

    not to get off this idea but, for A vs A, I seriously couldn't see an Onos vs a Skulk, or a Fade vs Fade... gorge vs gorge would be intersting, yet you can't be the other gorge... Too many faults so far with these kind of maps... =\

    btw lerk vs lerk would also be impossible...

    That plug in has been updated already.

    There are two builds, "mvm.amx" and "mvm-red.amx", the only difference is mvm-red makes team3 glow red.

    The only known issue for this CC fix is that for some reason, when the cc is killed, it kills all of team 3."

    "Newer version of the CC fix -- removes some nasty code i had in there to help me check it easier (it basically made the team 3 cc have 1000 hp instead of 10000). Highly suggest updating if you used the other version. "

    You want garbage that turns ns into trash? Look at people like you who post completely unnecesarry messages like that here. Not only that but remember back in earlier 3.0 testing when 2 clans were having a combat scrim on a consti server since the vet servers didn't have combat running? Everyone who wasn't supposed to be scrimming went onto spec but you come into the server and tell everyone your gonna do whatever you want because "you have that right". So you just join a team and procede to ruin the game. You might have had that right just like you have the right to post here, but how does that make you look and how does it affect the other people around you? Learn some manners.

    I only have two problems with MvM gameplay atm:

    1) It's implemented through co_maps. I understand why. It's a technical restraint and only so much can be done with a plugin. But co_ maps feel kind of......well, more like i'm playing fy_iceworld than anything like natural selection.

    2) The two maps that i've played of MvM games were from decompiled cs maps. This is just rediculous. I would think that the LAST thing you'd want to do is make this gametype seem more like counter strike. It's hard to respect this idea much at all when the two maps I played were co_cs_office and co_de_aztec. This can be fixed though, get someone to make more maps specifically for MvM games.

    The fact that people insist on ripenting CS maps and making them into MvM maps is no reason to dislike MvM. That's just silly. It remains simply a fun gameplay mode and I give mad props to MrBill for figuring out the trick that allows it to work. All these people getting worked up into a frenzy about how 'MvM is RUINING NS OMG' are just being silly. It's an interesting hack of the mapping system that allows for an amusing diversion. Nothing more. Get over it?

    all this silly business over one map, and funnily enough as it is... the name is co_sillyv3 :-D (got I love that name)

    for Reese, there are a FEW (and by few I mean 1... MAYBE 2) maps out there that arn't cs based, co_sillyv3 being one (one of the few to be playable everywhere) and in my totaly unbyas opinion, is the greatest map, EVER even though I made it, I'm being totaly truthful wehn I say, it is the best :-D

    yeah I'm kidding, it's more of a box then an astro (or safarie, their VANS people!) But it gets the job done, in it's own, silly type of way :-D

    What I dont get are these "ITS CS" people, I mean, they think us hearing what they say (even though its all VERY poorly based info) will make us change out minds? heck no! we'll lpay what we enjoy, and once mvm gets old (which it will if no one maps for it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) we'll find something else, so just relax.

    and Matthew, that map is made by "hi!" not myself, but that error would make me thing to check your .wad settings, or possibly an invalid struture

    My guess for the reason that a lot of the MvM maps are copies of CS maps:

    They are already balanced.

    By that I mean, they are already set up to be balanced for two human teams. I also think that they were just done to test the MvM capabilities.\


    Bad Hal 9000, if you don't like MvM, don't play. And for the love of God, get off this thread. There is no need to bash the hard work of people looking to explore every capability of NS.
