    all this silly business over one map, and funnily enough as it is... the name is co_sillyv3 :-D (got I love that name)

    for Reese, there are a FEW (and by few I mean 1... MAYBE 2) maps out there that arn't cs based, co_sillyv3 being one (one of the few to be playable everywhere) and in my totaly unbyas opinion, is the greatest map, EVER even though I made it, I'm being totaly truthful wehn I say, it is the best :-D

    yeah I'm kidding, it's more of a box then an astro (or safarie, their VANS people!) But it gets the job done, in it's own, silly type of way :-D

    What I dont get are these "ITS CS" people, I mean, they think us hearing what they say (even though its all VERY poorly based info) will make us change out minds? heck no! we'll lpay what we enjoy, and once mvm gets old (which it will if no one maps for it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) we'll find something else, so just relax.

    I had a feeling that when i would release the MM things, that people would act this way, im just glade its mixed <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Well, it must be him, i just compiled it again to make sure and it works for me, though i have no idea what his problem is.

    I have started a new MvM map for public release, but i have 1 entity that i have no idea how to use that i would like in the map, so i have to look it up before i release it. (prolly tomorrow)

    EDIT: hybridclaw, if i were you i werent worry about stuff like devouring other onii, because well, the chances of anyone figuring how to get AvA to work without dev help, are about .... .01%

    For anyone who wants a metamod version of the plugin that has been floating around. I haven't fixed the comm chair welding issues yet, but I will soon.

    I tried to set up classic (NS) mvm and ava maps, but there were 2 main problems:

    1. The round wouldn't begin for one of the teams. Alien team 2 could run, bite, etc, but not use hive 1 abilities, gestate or respawn after death. It would work normally for team 4. As marines, the team 3 commander couldn't do anything except recycle the rt and dead marines wouldn't respawn. (no ip's, heh) Team 1 worked just fine. I guess that's an intrasponible barrier for now, unless some leet programmer can code an amx plugin to fix it. (which I highly doubt)

    2. Spawn problems Mr. Bill described on his post, for both marines and aliens.

    Well I guess that's it. No classic for us at least until official support. Such a shame, as I really wanted to test my (poor) commander skills against another comm <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    whoa whoa whoa!!! you got it to run, without sv_cheats on? wha!?

    The whole reason I've never really tried ns_ is because it crashed as soon as team 2 joined in (and btw spawning things can be worked around using teleporters, buggier then sin, but hey it works) It would be nice to know how you got it to work without crashing, because I'm pretty sure there are work arounds for all the other problems <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    My map was just a readyroom with 2 hives or cc, with player spawns inside it. It didn't crash at any point. The second cc was set to team 2, not team 3, so you could jump inside it. They were set to start built. There were 2 hives set to start built, too, one for team 1 and another one for team 2 (I didn't use anything related to teams 3 or 4. I tested with them and got the same results, except that the hive/cc were considered to be the enemy's. Strangely enough, one of the hives only gets built when the game starts.). There were 2 rts, 2 team spawns and 1 player start in the dual ms/hive/res/ready room, as well as an info_mapinfo, which was only used to set the commander view and an info_gameplay (you should know what to do with these <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->) I didn't run rad or vis while compiling and my zhlt are quite old.

    Edit/PS: Also, I didn't name any of the entities no entities other than those mentioned were used. I recall not using NS textures, either. (I thought the comm needed a special one, but I didn't use it and it worked fine.) Note that I have only tested this map with rcbots and they seem to go crazy at the enemy cc/hive, trying to knife it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> As I said, only one of the teams can respawn and the other one also cannot do anything that requires the round to start, except shooting and walking. sv_cheats was set to 0 all the time. And I used a listen server to test it.

    Since AvA isn't still possible, I don't think that could be done yet. Until someone can get AvA to work properly, we should stick to MvM.

    Hey, I still don't get it right, I've set everything exactly the same as in the MvM .rmf file. But every time I join marine2, I just go to alien.

    Can someone give me the exact way to get this right?

    You have to use the info_gameplay entity to set team 2 to be marines too.

    #1)Okay, AvAvMvM doesn't work, only team 1 and two are joinable
    #2)i don't see how you're joining aliens, but it must be info_gameplay as said before, make sure both are set to marines.
    #3) Co_rnmando is ready and released.

    it's pretty simple, and contains 2 secret rooms.
    The rooms are
    The Unofficial Rave Room and the glass box, which you can see in the map.
    (sorry, but at the moment, the song i originally had in the rave room was too big and i took it out, if anyone has a song they'd like ((like actually give to to me)) i can put it in.)

    There's a switch on the far wall, when pressed it opens/closes a vent in the water, making a shortcut.

    Thatd be just as impossible..... even more so than ava in fact youd be doing a+m=a+m, besides the fact there is no way that you could come up with a plausible story for why they are treaming up and fighting in the first place.

    Well, unless the TSA decided to do genetic experiments on the Kharaa, making them not need a hive, only organic "spawn" structures that were completely controlled by nanites. But then, the space orkz ... sorry, space pirates decided to do the same thing, but instead of using organic "spawn" structures they made their own hive, but changed it alot - adding high-tech organs and chips to it so that they would control it and everything it spawned.

    I tried getting AvA to work, it didn't.

    Unless someone releases those maps they are talking about, I won't believe them.
