    I browsed through all these thread pages and tried to create a MvM map - i can't get it run. I created two CC's (one set to "Team one" and one set to "3"), info_team_start's  ("Team one"s and "Team two"s), Armorys ("Team one"s and "Team two"s) and an info_gameplay entity (set to: Team one: Human, Team two: Human). The compiled version of this map doesnt let me Spawn when i try to join a team - it just say's DEAD.

    Sounds familiar.
    Maybe it's not named co_something ? The co_ prefix is vital.

    That's what I forgot.

    I had the same problem, then I remembered it wasn't set as co_, DOH!

    I wouldn't be sure id need to check entities make sure the join teams are set up too...


    And yes there is a co_sillyv5, the first mvm (v3 really) but meh

    a vs a would be really hard to make work,what happens if every one gets clocking? the alians team are map to be all sneaky in corners and stuff,what happens when everyones hideing in corners?mabey you could disable clocking and make really bright maps.

    Sorry to revive this thread, but it seems that Alien vs Alien Combat should be playable with help from a script:

    1. Create Dummy Hives and move the real ones off the map
    2. Teleport Team 4 aliens near their hive location when they spawn
    3. Cause digested player to die after awhile regardless of heatlh

    Glowing isn't necessary, as Aliens have their Hive Sight, which shows who is on their team. Aliens can also spot cloaked players with Scent of Fear.

    Wow threadomancy. If I recall correctly, AvA simply didn't work due to limitations in the way the game is coded. MvM works because there is some vague basic code already in the game to allow for eventual MvM maps. (ever wondered why the elec RT glow was changed from white to blue?) AvA maps, made in the same way as MvM, just don't work. They tend to crash or not load at all, as I understand it. If you'd like to try, I'm sure you'd be a hero if you could figure it out.     I was testing this ALONG time ago, and decided to revive my test map
    So, with a little tweaking, and cheats turned on, There is a *basic* working AvA. I have a few demos too, including an onos eating an onos, and an onos fight. The only problem i can see is that team two's hive doesn't register right.

    *Note*
    There is Team 2 and Team 4
    team 4 works fine, team 2 just doesn't have a hive =/

    Any help with this problem is accepted

    Not really man, only 12 days since last post <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> but i think i finally found a good host for my files now. 3 gigs of space for free, not a bad deal. But u have to forfeit an email acc, cause it says in the ToS that they will spam it.
