    I just played on co_cs_assault, and I was amazed. Non-stop action...


    Now, I have a request:

    Could one of you post an .rmf file, with nothing in it but what you need to create an MvM map?

    It should have the entities needed to define Team 1 and Team 3, what you need for the ready room, the func_breakable/trigger_hurt/commandchair comination, et cetera.

    Could you also seperate them, like, all Team 1 things on one side, and all Team 3 things on the other?

    Um maybe this has been said before but...I think iv found a way to tell the differance between the 2 marines teams, its not very good but here goes

    All players join their teams, using a special marine model with the normal white marine skin but a insdtead of the blackguy skin change it, make it different however you want.

    Admin using sv_cheats 1 , then executes in everyone on teams 3's client
    setskin 1 - Sets the players skin (0 for white marine, 1 for black marine)
    then to everyone with the new skins you will have 2 different teams, when admin puts cheats off then you cant change your skin :/

    I found the secret room of co_silly, kinda accidental..

    i was flying around with my jp, and bam, i'm in a dumb room with flashing blue green and red lights. theres no way out that i found, so i was overall not pleased.

    Yeah... there's a secret entrance to the silly room in the rr, but then there's also a hidden entrance somewhere in the big room near the roof... not much fun to get stuck there as a JP, as there really is no way out and you have to f4 and start over at level 1 again... = (

    Nope, we're not working on an official MvM -- the code just happens to (almost) work as-is, with some scattered issues to fix (like team 3 not being able to repair CC). I don't believe the dev team has ever tried to get it to work interally; If you are releasing a MvM or AvA map, it's unsupported by the dev team -- I hope people keep that in mind when things don't work properly <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->.

    Like I've mentioned before, there's a lot more artwork to be done for an MvM mode than coding. We're not planning on supporting MvM or AvA in any of the 3.0 releases, so you'll be using it at your own risk.

    I'd almost prefer that people didn't release MvM or AvA maps to the general public because of the bugs which we won't be fixing right now (gettting AvM and CO issues resolved obviously takes precedence... I'm not sure what the policy on MvM bugs would be, but I suspect that the best you'll get in response right now is "thanks for the report, we'll add to the list of things to fix in a future version of NS"); I suppose the fact that you need a plugin to make models glow before you can tell classes apart is enough of a tip-off that it's not officially supported.

    I'm not sure what Flayra's thoughts are on the matter...

    Even still the thou the mappers who make these awesome little buggy maps can always put in a warning no matter what and also its up to the server admins them selfs as well to let the users know about the bug, I just think at less it shows it can be done and its fun too...

    So mappers just add a warning to your maps in the readme files or even when you?re in the readyroom have some type of premade poster on a wall or something...

    This way Flayra & the Dev team don?t get flooded with so many e-mails and privs hehehe

    ive added a zipped map pack mirror of all existing mvm maps (all 2)

    Why would you want to change the models? It would look nice, but its yet another custom model for people to download.. Just glowing the marines/structures a different color works very nicely

    Actually, I just played a game of MvM and everyone would either glow the opposite's team colour, or glow no colour at all, or even a random colour. It was pretty stupid.

    Yes but brute, the point is that device null's amxx mod automatically sets the glow colour of each player on each team and only on co_sillyv which deals with that problem.
