    I don't see the situation like that at all. Flayra said all along that he wanted m vs m and a vs a to be implemented. All that has been done is give a small glimpse of what will eventually be inevitable.

    Because CS has jetpacks and grenade launchers and mines and run-and-gun fighting and welding(teamwork) and auto-healing(resupply) and in-built wallhack(has anyone tried MT yet? Not likely that it's very useful, but does it work?) and did I mention jetpacks?
    EDIT: Oh, and an objective that you can chip away at instead of "everything or nothing", and <b>respawning</b>, and <u>shared</u> rewards for killing.

    The most potential in Natural-Selection is still in classic, since even combat is just a upgraded clone of CS with a NS interface (teamdeath match)

    Classic is the way to go and classic is also the part of NS which sets it apart from other mods/games. Pesonally anything like combat or this idea is just not up to the groundbraking gameplay/standarts which classic has entertained us with all this time <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Seriously... shut up. First of all, Marine vs Marine won't "ruin" anything, Flayra has stated himself that there would one day be AvA and MvM - all we're doing is giving ourselves a preview on it. Second of all, there wouldn't ever be any T vs CT in NS, because this is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT GAME, and CS is copyrighted so you probably shouldn't worry. Third of all, CS is not that bad of a game - it's mostly the players. No matter what you say, I had a *fun* time playing MvM and I'm sure lots of people will agree with me. It's quite simple, if you don't like the game - don't play it. If you don't want to know about the game - don't read or reply to this post.

    Sheesh.

    edit: sorry if I come off harsh, I just don't like people who whine for no real reason. no offense meant in this post.

    the only thing that i think the problem might be is trying to figure out whos on whos team lolz, so i say just make more marine models, like green, or black, blue, red, yellow, etc.. so this way we can kick the other colors butt ^_^ lolz

    Thanks to cooperation from Mr.Bill and Localhost2600, I've been having regular unlocked playtests of co_sillyv3 on the Readyroom.org server, and the response has been very enthusiastic. Even when Joe Schmoe joins the server, he agrees that it's a fun mode. I've had people going on IRC, telling me to change the server to co_sillyv3, and turn on admin_fun. Admin_fun 1 really solves the team problems, since everyone just binds "say glow blue" and "say glow green" and uses that to identify themselves as a blue or green team member. While the map itself isn't too hot, it's made to showcase a feature, and does that well. It's all just good fun, and there has been alot of it when playing on that map. Sometimes the players decide to have an attack & defend match, since the second team's CC can't be welded. I've really found it to be nothing like CS in all of my matches on that map, since teams generally actually work together, nobody sits around and awps, and nobody plants a bomb.

    Still hoping someone can come up with an auto-glow plugin though. Just like always, there has to be some smacktard that has to try and exploit the system. LOL I'M ON THE BLUE TEAM SO I'LL GLOW GREEN OMG LOLOL!!! Then I try and shoot him and meanwhile get capped in the back by a real enemy. Or, ignore him when on the other team, and he shoots me when my back is turned. Geeesh... this is the same logic that when given a pane of glass and a brick would just HAVE to break the glass... Yes, we know the system is easily breakable right now, that doesn't mean you HAVE to break it.

    I think people overstate the problem with telling teams apart. Firstly whenever your crosshair even passes over an enemy it comes up enemy - [name] on your screen.     As for the teams thig I got someone trying ot get a plugin to replace models

    and as for the cc's, we've tried many different things, we have afew theories (one stated somehwhere in here about teh neg trigger_hurt) that havnt been tested, anyone wiling, go ahead.

    As for the cs thing, Ness is right, i cant stand ns, but MvM is compleatly different, and best of all, fun. There's nothing quiet like hiding behind a ha, just to take on another ha, or Jp,

    The main thing most matters should try tog et is AvA, I ran into some spawn troubles but i think I can get that working sometime, ill be out for the wqeekend but when I get back I'll be right on it.

    I remember when JHunz got confused and tried to shoot the **** out of us, and went on to knife our own CC... fortunately on team 1, so he didnt damage it. After knifing for 2 minutes, he stands up and goes "wait a minute... LOL this is my teams spawn".

    You got 3 general teams, team 1, 2 and an unused 3, 1 and 2 are both reserved for a specific team (1 = marines 2= aliens), using the info gameplay, or whaterv it is, you can change team 2, to a marines team, but since it's reserved, it gets moved to team 3, heres the trciky part...     So the only way to make the map is make a team 2, like you normaly would, spawn points team 2, armories team 2, the works, but its when you come to the comm chair that it's different.
    Since its really team 3, team 2 dosn't need a comm chair, it's team 3 that wiill need a comm chair. See what I mean about mixed? the crazy thing is team 2 sees team 3's comm chair as it's comm chair, and yet, it's NOT it's comm chair as you can still destroy it and weld it to death!

    The really annoying thing is though, if you try setting everything to team 3, and make a NEW team (3 obviously) the game wont see it and ignore all those spawn points, (that was my idea to fix cc prob, I tested it in many dif ways all failed). The onl way to do this, if you could get the CC's death triggers to work properly (which they don't I've tried) is build team's 2 cc outside to be hurt and activate a trigger hurt on team 3's cc hidden somewhere to destroy it when team 2's get's destroyed, mind you I tried and the damn thing didn't work if anyone else wants to try go ahead.

    there that's as clear as I can explain it, in short everything in team 2 stays team 2 cept comm chair.

    I think that *might* work but it would probably be 2 alien teams and 2 marine teams all against each other. Also i think there having bigger problems with a vs a for combat.
