Inside the large wreck in the Grand Reef, I'm guessing. I was just there today, but I didn't have the proper equipment on me for exploring it, so I went to the floating island instead. -
I built my base on the same kind of structure (maybe the exact same one), and there's a Reefback that comes over to visit me every so often. He doesn't actually touch my base though.

In my experience, the scanner room is way worse. The multipurpose room isn't really meant to sit on top of a single foundation anyway.

Diamonds would be cool and would make sense. More pressure at that depth and it would be kind of like the stereotypical dragon guarding its treasure (assuming some kind of monster will be down there).
