Haven't built one in a while, but here's my incredibly original Cyclops from a while back.

I found one in a kelp forest, but I don't remember the number and it couldn't be entered except maybe with a laser cutter.

The stasis rifle is a pretty intense piece of technology, so although I agree that the player should have access to some kind of protection early on, I don't think providing a stasis rifle right off the bat is a good solution.

I would think that they're meant to be sneaky, but we might see a toning down of their aggressiveness in the future. Many people, myself included, want them to only attack if you mess with their metal or swim through "their turf."

Great work, Explorer Cassadore!

Flares and the diving reel for me, along with most of the things you mentioned.

Awesome stuff man!

You're right, but it's a game and balance within the game must be considered. As it stands, the player is already severely limited on how deep they can dive and how long they stay under until they get oxygen tanks and fins. Decreasing swim speed w…

Here's an idea- they only float in water. When you put them in your inventory, they dry out and contract. -

Because it's relaxing and by using a net you can catch multiple fish at once. -

Those storage cubes are nearly useless right now. You can't drop them inside the escape pod or your base, so what's the point? -
Sweet! Now someone cram a Reefback in there.

That's just risk/reward. Here on Earth we have reinforced industrial elevator shafts that bring welders and other workers far below sea level. -
You can't, unfortunately.

Mostly stuff that you have to spawn, but at times there's been major implemented assets that were exclusive to experimental. For example, you can go to the Blood Kelp biome in experimental, but I don't think it's been added to the stable build yet.

Being able to make rope/tow cables out of creepvine and other materials would be neat.

I imagine it will be very similar to the exosuit in NS2, in that you'll have two arms which can both be specialized for various tasks.
-
For the time being, just remember to make beacons. They're cheap and easy.
-
The reason you're immune to pressure currently is that otherwise there'd be no way to gather materials from most of the map. The human body can only actually handle about 40 meters of depth, sometimes less. Even if we're being generous and saying …

The whole "CO2 levels rising, evacuate immediately" thing makes it disappointing that you can't really fix the pod, but I'm sure that's yet to come.
-
I like the idea of the AI requesting certain tasks of you. It gives the player some guidance and an agenda, but doesn't force them to do anything or limit what they can do.
-
There will be at least one "pet" known as the Cute Fish.

Where's the fun in that? I don't see how you can think simply telling everyone what the surprise is is more fulfilling than them starting up the game and seeing for themselves. -

Or just smoke some of that koosh. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡ °) -
I imagine you'd have to modify the sound file for the alarm. There might be a console command you could use, but you'd probably have to ask a dev.

Some Pacific islands have trees and plants that have grown two or three times as large as they're supposed to due to radioactive fallout from nuclear testing. A similar effect could be seen in Subnautica thanks to the crashed Aurora; maybe it could…

You make your way into the main computer room of the Aurora, and manage to repair it. You are greeted with the words, "I. Am. Shodan."
(Please tell me someone gets the reference) -
Now connect it to the mountain island.
