  • In case anyone else has this issue, it is now resolved. I was using a batch file instead of the Builder through Launchpad. When I run the Builder everything works great! Thank for the help, Beige!

    I must be doing something wrong. I typed the numbers in manually, even rounded them off to whole numbers and the error persists. Not only that but no overview is being generated and placed in the ns2/maps/overviews folder.

  • I've copied over the med labs area from my now-abandoned ns2_caleb project. This fits in very well with the theme of Vargus, a research station that was experimenting with Kharaa biology... when something went horribly wrong!

  • ns2_veil is my favorite map in NS2. It ported from NS1 beautifully and reminds me of the "good 'ole days" of NS. The fact that marines always spawn at the same tech point is great. Again, it really makes me think of NS1 and that's a good thing.
  • A double res room at the extreme side of any map does not immediately /seem/ to be a good idea. For now, I believe we are keeping the double res room in the middle and NOT turning it into a Tech Point. Of course, that can change during playtesting.
  • From the greybox playtest tonight I think we need to optimize the map for faster marine travel times. The rooms are very large, which is advantageous for marines, but it takes awhile to get around the map. Some shortcuts would be nice, maybe even so…

  • I would just like to clarify that I *did* drop ammo and meds for this solo-ninja marine ('cause that's how I roll and I had the res to spare). Furthermore, I am not saying that comms should not listen to their team—they definitely should.

    Have you tried tweaking settings in your nVidia control panel? Sometimes you can force the card to perform at a lower level than is possible to specify in-game. Just thinking out loud...
