I'm afraid you may be correct.
As you can see, the last post from anyone on the development team is from late April, and all they offer are condolences for the game not working properly (and the "promise" that they are "looking into it").

This works well if players work cooperatively, BUT what if they don't? What if your friends are butt-heads that de-construct your stuff for the resources? Or go into your base and raid your storage cabinets? Have you …There was a bug a little while back, that quieted/eliminated a lot of the creature noises when the player built the scanner room.
Was this bug fixed? If so, perhaps it's resurfaced? How many of you have built scanner rooms?

Does the Cyclops have a Microsoft operating system?The only suggestion I have for the Aurora explosion is, the sound should come after the explosion is seen. Sound doesn't travel nearly as fast as light.
See the explosion, THEN hear the explosion.
