That means people cant just script a bunnyhop but will have to manually achieve it eg: space bar. This also affects alien bunnyhopping as long as you dont script it your fine.

Aliens are supposed to bunnyhop. Well.. skulks are, and those are the only ones people often bhop with. I mean, look at how the skulk it built, its supposed to sorta bounce quickly towards its prey... or fall from the ceiling... <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

Can you still script a bunnyhop without those commands?? Learn something everyday.

anyway, useless to me cos i bind jump to mouse wheel.. lol
changing the jumping code can take several hours...
He should have just removed the _special command because it was lame as hell.
On the other hand, removing 'wait'?
That's excessive.
Glad to see that script noobs will be dissapointed come 3.0.
you would never see skulks get kills <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't wait set up now so that you can only do one in a row, rather than can't use it at all?
Some of us kill the old fashioned way; You know, aiming at our targets, having patience, and not turning our gamma up via third party programs to insane levels to see skulks, or jumping around like a friggin idiot to avoid a skulk. <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Hmm... so my "bind V nexttrack" is an exploit because I just can't be allowed to hear the NS music?

You misunderstand, since you are trying to use a benign use of the console (Listening to ingame music) and comparing it to something such as scripting (Fade blink/slash, leap/bite, etc.).
In other words: If you have to use the console to give yourself an ability (like +3jumps) that is not availible via the regular HL default binds, then it is an exploit. I don't think someone will say "OMG MUSIC HAX!!!" <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I personally have most of the marine binds (Medpack, need orders, etc.) bound to give myself a sense of atmosphere with the game.
Whereas in normal NS(won) it automatically plays, but only repeats the first track.

Going into the steam options and setting the music directory to your CD drive would be a start. I know there's a music volume command in the console, though I forget the exact wording. I believe that Flayra didn't include the mp3s with the beta install to save some space, so I can't comment on nexttrack specifically.

You do realize that +3jumps is basically equivilent to using your mousewheel, correct?
So using your mousewheel to jump is an exploit?
K, thanks for telling me I'll make sure to remember that

Command for next track, or play is nexttrack Volume is cl_mp3volume "value" or something to that effect.
it just make u be able to escape faster from marine after killing him
u can kill a bhop skuling if u got good aiming.
if marine travel in grp of 2/3(good aiming), bhop skul possessed no threat to him

Yes, he said that, but that view is still kinda silly with NS at its current state. He'd have to make all the legit variables settable and commands bindable from the options menu to hold up to it. As it is, you need the console for certain things. It won't be reasonable to say that you can't use the console until there is a reasonable alternative for all the legit uses.
And server operations are going to require the console. "status" is probably the only command that clients will need every once in a while, and it's not even possible to use that without the console.

Wait for 3.0 and Focus and you'll sing a different tune. If a skulk can fly at you and take you down in one bite before you can get a few shots in, it seems a bit unfair. In 2.0 you have at least 2 bites, so a bit of a chance. But meh, I don't really care. I can aim, so unless I'm caught unawares, the skulk just gets closer to me before it dies, thats all.
This does not mean that the console is removed, correct?

No. Its just saying that if it is something that can only be done via console or config files, its considered an exploit. Things that you can do in say, the options menu, but choose to do in the console are perfectly acceptable.
The console is still in. I don't think it would be very easy to block.. Especially without getting a large number of people angry. Server admins need the console to use things such as Adminmod or AMX. The point is not that you shouldn't use the console, but more that everything the average player might do in the console is just as easily done in the options menu.
Nicely said. For that, you get in to my sig <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
If they disrupt some other commands, such as your 'quick inventory switch' scripts, couldnt that be solved by Flayra making it so there is a 'quick inventory switch' bind, instead of having to script it?
For example, I use the 3 jump script and Powerstrip. Nowadays, people are afraid to say such things because they are instantly flamed by someone.
"Omg FLayra said exploit; cheat; unfair; omg" Silly kids
Vektuz: bind q "lastinv" <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Taboofires: Server commands are generally not used for killing a skulk (Okay, maybe invul, or turning that cloaked skulk's glow mode on.. heh), but things like the +3jumps script and powerstrip (I'm assuming that's a 3rd party gamma regulator.. which isn't needed in SteamNS since, you know, they did massive code changes and all that, but whatever).
EVERYTHING I have bound (Save jointeamone/two and retry which are for beta, essentially) can be bound via the options menu. Even lastinv. Hud_fastswitch 1 is a console command, as is fps_max 100 and all that stuff, but 100 FPS doesn't help kill a skulk directly, nor does fastswitch. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
