The Ally button doesnt come in till the next beta, but it is coming. Remember this is like 1.04 - its not the final product.
Well, whether or not you go with maths pretty much depends on the competition. For eediot getting maths isnt smart because the only powerful person around is an ally. But for Gecko, he might have some ppl to worry about, so he will need it.
Small note on precision building - if you want to go up 3 levels dont wait till you have enough for the entire three levels, just only spend when you can get it up at least 1.
The idea is to never have anything half built - you either build it fully, or dont build at all. Do or do not - there should be no halfway. That way, you always have the option to change your mind, and flexibility is good. It really stinks when you have sunk 400pp into a battlecruiser and get a msg saying the nme is coming in 4 hours. You wont be able to finish that battleship, and that 400pp you cant touch, so you cant spend it on a starbase.

eediot there is no way to hurry that process up. The thing with this game is you need another game to play to pass the time. So you can go hardcore on the ns, then come back 4 hours later and do something in astrowars. Or you could sleep, pat your dog etc

The one guy in my system who isn't AFK has already taken 2 other planets over the weekend. I just boosted my population level up to 7 and factory up to 8 with 6 level farm and my Starbase up to level 8. I am now building my transpost fleet to take the other 5 planets in my system.
As long as this other guy stays 1 step behind me (hes ahead of me now) I will be ok.
I am going to take the other 5 planets, build them up and them kill the AFKers. After thats done. I am going to build up Super strong and take him out of my system!

Wrong! all of my sciences are over 10 (except math) which is at 9 and im researching now (+43 per hour ^^) i actually did arrive there first, and i just pulled out, i only lost 2 destroyers instead of my 6 in a FF incident against blaqwolfs fleet. but what i dont get is that i didnt get ANY thing from defeating his starbase besides 5 exp points. when last time i kileld the other AFK's starbase i got ex points plus 1 Supply Unit. now i get nothing <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> except "exp points"
It will take you quite some time to get 6 planets, its not easy getting culture
The most amount of planets any player has in the entire game is 11, thats not even a whole system. You're best bet is probably to get 4, max 5 planets in the one system and then moving on to the next one, killing off the locals there, and then rinse, repeat. Always nice to find a brand-spankin' new system with all afkers or all new players, SU's and exp. for all <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

I'll have enough culture for 6 planets by the end of the day...Now if only my colony ships would hurry their butts up....freaking slow even with 10 energy. Both the other people in my star system have 5+ starbases though...I don't have the resources to build enough ships to take those out. I have 1 battleship, 2 cruisers and like 7 destroyers....and only 2 transports so I wouldn't be able to cap the planet.

eediot there is no way to hurry that process up. The thing with this game is you need another game to play to pass the time. So you can go hardcore on the ns, then come back 4 hours later and do something in astrowars. Or you could sleep, pat your dog etc

Ahem, well you could spend all your points (only available if you have more than 150 PPs) on interstellar trade, and if the planet is the highest (cloest to planet 1) in that system, when you but the PPs back, they'll all go to that planet. A good, quick way to boost a planet very high.
Am I right in thinking the minimum time for ANYTHING to happen in Astrowars is 6 hours? I just boosted my population level up to 7 and factory up to 8 with 6 level farm and my Starbase up to level 8. I am now building my transpost fleet to take the other 5 planets in my system.
As long as this other guy stays 1 step behind me (hes ahead of me now) I will be ok.
I am going to take the other 5 planets, build them up and them kill the AFKers. After thats done. I am going to build up Super strong and take him out of my system!

Wrong! all of my sciences are over 10 (except math) which is at 9 and im researching now (+43 per hour ^^) i actually did arrive there first, and i just pulled out, i only lost 2 destroyers instead of my 6 in a FF incident against blaqwolfs fleet. but what i dont get is that i didnt get ANY thing from defeating his starbase besides 5 exp points. when last time i kileld the other AFK's starbase i got ex points plus 1 Supply Unit. now i get nothing <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> except "exp points"

The most amount of planets any player has in the entire game is 11, thats not even a whole system. You're best bet is probably to get 4, max 5 planets in the one system and then moving on to the next one, killing off the locals there, and then rinse, repeat. Always nice to find a brand-spankin' new system with all afkers or all new players, SU's and exp. for all <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
