I have had this exact issue with NS2 since about the same time. Also a big reason why I gave up and quit. Still have the same issue to this day. -
It is possible, I was known for playing that way back in like 2013 when working in remote areas. It must be your wifi connection

even after nuking NS2 and Steam I get this error. Not using ANY mods.. It's very annoying, I wish I could get my 75$ back considering it broke AS SOON as I donated...

Do this: 2) Go to your hidden folder where settings are saved C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming and Delete the 'Natural Selection 2' folder.
I had that error for about 6 months.
Note, this can be a temporary fix… -
You might be correct if it was an NS2 server.

at least you guys can SEE the server browser... every time I attempt to load it crashes NS2.
pretty damned hard to practice before scrims or anything else right now.. -

Make sure you are opted OUT of beta's in the options. had this problem two months ago and couldn't figure it out for a while

we are actually getting rid of our servers pretty soon, still playing around on other servers for the time being.
