Alas, too late now i guess. (I did raise it back in 2016 but it didnt get any comments)

Both are fantastic suggestions.
unlockall worked thanks! (Happily heads off to collect enough to build a base! ;-) -
(Oh and i did try the console cheat code to enable allblueprints but that seems to not be available in this current build)

I just fired this up today and fell in love with it again. *sigh* So pretty. I was struck again by just how much id love to share the experience with my partner. Oddly enough not being able to share that experience did feel quite lonely.

First off I understand and agree adding multi-player is a pain in the undercarriage after the fact. Small dev team, yep. Limited budget. Multi-player is damn hard. Yep, all understood (as a sysadmin and part time network coder, totally get it!).
Im in but i cant activate switches or shoot rockets or anything.
(the teleport levels have big red buttons on the floor but nothing happens).
I know, #include <prealpha.h> ;^)

I read it as "people who already have it keep it, but we want to make another 'mini-pack' to sell on steam which will have some of the same assets". Ie, you keep your full set of toys but other people on steam can buy parts of it i…

I agree that id hate the game to be a digsim (given the above ground part is so prettttttty!) but I also like to be able to build and customise.
Maybe the base could be underground which:

Or maybe you can flood/sink it to keep it safe?Interesting idea for a fish action 'sand cloud' (for prey fish to escape or for a predator fish that does not use eyes to hunt).Hmmmm... 1000km/h wind storms on the surface. ;-) Nice reason to keep the player from building on islands ;-)I think it's slow down for me. That bass at the start just hooks me in and the haunting sounds at about 0:18 just gives me chills. …I dont think Id like to see a lot of abovewater stuff. Adding birds and land animals is all extra art and modeling work that needs to be done (and if they are going to add 20 more species, id rather they add them where im going to spend most of my t…Being able to pitch the seamoth might alleviate some of the vision problems (limit the pitch, naturally, you dont want to be able to point directly down :-)I remember reading a piece on Valve's user testing and how they just sat people down and let them play and they didnt even let devs/programmers/whoever in the same room because their reactions to watching people play would change how they played.
I kind of like the idea of having a 'cost' to an emergency surface.
Realistically future tech probably wont use compressed air …Combinations might be interesting too... modifying your skin to absorb oxygen might reduce your oxy use by 20% and that might be enough to let you use a smaller tank or something. ;-)
I do like the idea of the tradeoff between more tanks…I flipped to the experimental build but steam wont seem to update it (it just pops into the update queue, times out and then a short while later tries again). I cant play the game because it is in the update queue (i have to disable the experimental…I think for number 1 it is the sound is a reasonable indicator that you are using more air (although i guess you could argue for a volume increase rather than a rate change)
These other oxygen/breathing ideas occurred to me while p…Warning this post contains pie in the sky, freaky, on hallucinatory drugs and out of this world class wacky suggestions, but i figure why not brain dump. ;-)
edit: bloody hell, im back with an edit! in Permanence brainstorm Comment by slayer.faith November 2014Yes, i second the problem of looking down in the seaglider.
Im assuming that once there are other subs it might be less of an issue. ;-)

This release is not as advanced, build tree wise, as some of the prototypes but it is soooo much prettier. Hmmm. Eye candy. I had a lot of fun tooling round and just taking in the wonderful visuals.

I managed to get down deeeeeeeeeeeeeep with the debug codes in proto8 but i was still chronically short of metal.
I was pleasantly surprised by:
* arrrrrrrrr avast ye treasure be there arrrrrrrrrrr).
* jellyfis…i go from 6 to 8 too.
8 is bloody hard! With the console codes i managed to find enough to get a knife, tanks, 2*flippers, but i cant find any more metal. Woe is me, im not metal enough.
I just played the 3rd prototype and i spent a significant amount of time in it (well compared to the others). Niiiice. Needing to head out into the depths to collect the different materials was a cool experience. Being able to build all that stuff i…If you want to go survival then how about an aquatic version of: [spoilers if you read it all, dont read more than the first paragraph of the plot section] http://en.wik…(Quote)
Reasonable points. :-)
Although charlie did ask what kind of things people like and thats what i like (and i realise that is just me and others will like different things)
I do like a relaxed building game (…Curse you @Flayra ive been thinking about this all weekend. ;-)
Im excited by some of the ideas around simulating an ecology. Ideas that are tumbling around in …Those things Charlie posted seem to be one-offs.
Are you thinking craft for (tech type) upgrade or supplies?
I was thinking along the lines of materials for expanding bases and placing remote stations. That might require bots…
