well here's the first screen shot from my current WIP co_interred this is a hall slightly outside of MS, I havent tampered with the gamma in the map yet at all any feed back on lighting would be appriciated. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Although it is different, and refreshing like Thursday said, I feel it looks out of place, looking at your pic.
Choosing obscure textures, does not always help. The rocks reminds me of GoldenEye for the Nintendo64.
Still, have to see it in-game. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Also, I'm wondering if the name co_helios is taken already. (as I said, I can never decide on a map name <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)
brute force, good job on that! but I think it would be better with a pair of light_spots inside the corridor, so it looks like it has it's own lighting when the night comes <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
It would also add some nice contrast IMO <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> although it looks very nice already
brute force, that looks inspired by the Q3 Gloom shots that esuna posted in #nsmapping earlier (all idle on gamesurge and complain about stupid forum posts with me, esuna, zazi, bf, mendasp and the gang!). Good job, nice "remake" <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Thats wierd, I immediatley thought Quake, when looking at them Corridors.
Thursday, you have my vote <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
To me that doesn't look anywhere near as good as I think the same hall would in half-life under NS. Especially those girders they just don't look realistic....something about them is just cartoony. Overall it's nice though.... just think it would look a lot better on a different engine.
does q3 use such boring textures? the "seem to be bummed map" architecture in ns looks better in some caeses. only the "low resolution" of the architecture in ns is a mess...
Some interesting stuff there 3n1gMa. Nice lighting, some good architecture, nothing really stands out that I see problems with. I like the fog/steam/whatever.
Might want to post warnings next time though to let any 56kers know that these are some bandwidth intensive pics.
noted ;-), I'll use The Gimp to export them to jpgs instead of png files. Fireworks only let me save as pngs. <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> --------- Macromedia Fireworks.
SOOOO much better 3n1gma. so much better. still a few gripes though.
in the third-to-last picture, that wall texture just isn't good for that. i've never been a fan of that particular tex, and i think it doubly doesn't fit there. i also think those models on the wall are very out of place. lighting is nice and moody, but the texturing is detracting from that mood. and try replacing those texes before you get rid of the models. they might look pretty good with a different texture.
:Edit: yes.. pepe, what is it with you? you're one of those guys that sits in their hole all day mapping, never uttering a word. then you pop out of your hole for a moment, throw a picture at us and go back under. of course the pics are always very nice though. ^_^
Pepe you never fail to impress <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I think you should have 2 pipes coming down the centre, to fill the empty space up. Really nice lighting in those screenshots. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Look at Q3 Gloom, and pics. Your screenshot reminds me of some of the hallways esuna pointed out earlier.
Bleh, ask esuna in irc for some pics, it looks like you based the corridor from Gloom though <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> Not that its a bad thing ...
