Real mans use a dumpster, a vending machine, or both. Boxes are for scrawny fleshbeings with noodle arms.

Oh yeah, I moved my compy. I can play Deuce Eggs now, and it's fun.

You don't need that! Perhaps you have heard of the revolutionary technology called "OnLive!"™ ? All you need is ou-their connection device you plug into a TV or a computer capable of handling a mere 720p resolution and internet access. When this is acquired you can enjoy all the games you want without any particular hardware! W-they promise a perfectly playable game experience and really, Deus Ex HR is hardly very quick-paced compared to other games non?

Finished it! (Random) Thoughts:

- Awesome game. Worthy prequel to DE. Except for the crashes in DX11 mode.
- And except for the boss fights. Who else "specced" a stealth pacifist and found bosses #1 and #2 brutal when you've only got a silenced pistol?
- A reviewer said there's mention of Gunter Hermann (german cyborg from DE1)... Where?!
- Anyone spot DE1 fan service I missed? I got the Zhao = dragon lady; Tong = relative of DE1 Tong; e-mails regarding Manderley; the room where you fiind your girl at the end has an old music player that plays the DE1 menu music; British guy making a reference to Daedalus; mentions of UNATCO forming (not by name, though); Illuminati
- Can't believe they didn't examine Jensen coping with his transition to augs. He gets beat up, wakes up augmented, off he goes. Could have gone so much deeper.
- Atmosphere was well done when the evil biochip is switched on. Zombies!! Got frustrating pretty quick though, where getting hit = getting snared.
- Which ending did everyone go for? Although Sarif is a bit of a narrow-minded prick I figured the world shouldn't have to give up augs.
- Steam says I clocked 17 hours of play time. Pretty good for a game these days.
- Making takedowns use a bar of energy is evil.
- I assume the canon ending is for Jensen to blow up the base?
- Side-missions that require certain levels of hacking is awful game design.
- Getting rid of melee weapons- ok. Removing binoculars? Frustrating!
- Cover system was well implemented.

I found most of the fan-service to be too glaringly obvious to really be fan service. It's like somebody's looking over my shoulder occasionally going "look, look, we actually played the original! We have put references in our game to prove it!" I get it, you have geek cred. What are you going to quote next, All Your Base Are Belong To Us?

-They left it in the background, but it's there. Most obvious is the mirror in his apartment - how does a mirror end up like that, hmm? And apparently there's emails suggesting he's gotten a number of replacements.
-I thought the zombies were stupid in 2 major ways - their run animation looks like they're puppets rather than insane, and they all take multiple headshots to kill all of a sudden
-Looked at all of them, but would probably choose Sarif's ending
-They all segue pretty well into DX1

I was a pacifist who carried at least 3 of each grenade at all times. And later, mines. The bosses didn't stand a chance.
