Man, I have got to join this IRC server.
I've been playing the game pretty much non stop lately and I love the squads.
Playing commander is pretty tight to, but just being a squad leader is so much funner.

I love taking the boat from west beach, filling it with my squad and just running it up the river to construction or the MEC base for some mayham.
Its so badass looking when you have an entire boat just loaded down with your squad point guns at all angels <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' />

Well, for those that are still in belief that airplanes CANNOT be landed....

Furthermore, landing on the MEC airstrip is hard enough, but with the carrier, you need to come to a full stop before the end of the runway, otherwise its a long swim.

Edit: Forgot to mention that when the plane stopped, it was so close to the edge, any USMC trying to take the MIG would go off the edge and straight into the water...

vertical landing? or were you attempting to land on a carrier with no hook?

sure it's possible, just lower your velocity to near nothing early...

Remember Gwahir, thats a MEC MIG, there is no VTOL for MEC in the demo at least, I had to cut power half a carrier length away from the carrier, and reverse thrust once I hit the deck (reversing thrust before on deck to reduce momentum results in a high speed plummet leaving a crater)

Oh, and a vertical landing in terms of the MIG means pointed straight at the deck, bailing and parachuting....

Had an amazing game last night on a Jolt server, real organised tactical team play, was ace!

Heres some shot i took, oh and the server was modded for unlocked weapons!

Delta team, attack enemys artilery and coms, gogogo!

This was an ace part of the game, our SL ordered us to attack and take over the capture point up past the train. We did take it in the end only to get pwned by arty <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' />

End of a few games and i joined MEC and the team play was 10x better. This pic shows nearly have the players (64 player sever) trying to take the middle beach head base back. Oh and yes thats a G3

We finally took the whole map, the only way for any USMC to get in was either Blackhawk or boat we had the whole map covered, not was getting in. And yes that is a PKM

Still getting used to planes in this.....and sorting out sensitivity for it....

I know in bf1942 people used to always doubt that you could land planes as well. I showed them repeatedly that you can :E

And the helicopters pwn. Just trying to work out how to land one at mo.

If you mostly play as a medic I highly recommend binding the shock paddles to the mouse wheel button. It makes things a whole lot easier.

I play with all settings on medium and 100% veiw distance.

Not sure what fps i get in game, cuz i dont know the command.

Actually piloting helis is very easy. Of course the first couple of games I did more harm than good but then I made my own practice server ans did some nice flying. Now I think I'm pretty pro <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' />

Now I gotta learn fighters....cause I suck.

Nil IQuizzle's guide to flying them helly-coptars:

-W and S control the rotors, if you point your nose straight ahead and hold W, you will ascend. If you point straight forward and do nothing, you should hover in place. I think you can work out how to descend.

-To go forwards, tilt your chopper forwards. If you tilt it too far, you'll start to descend. If you tilt it really too far you'll go into a dive and crash. The same goes for going backwards. This can make landings tricky, as you have to tilt upwards and won't be able to see the ground.

-F10 is the external camera view. This can be handy when trying to land.... or not.

-If you're using the blackhawk, the top speed is 260mph (I believe), so if your speed is at 240-60, don't tilt any further forwards, unless you want to descend.

You can go inside the train car, but it doesn't do anything. Good camping spot.
