hmm well if you look at some other forums here u can see some people converting some alien skins from avp2 to NS let them put it out and then wait a lil while see what hapens..if they dont get harrased by fox then it should be alirght
it's never "allright" unless the company says so. Doing stuff behind it's back because you feel they don't care, isn't legal, nor should it be condoned. It is stealing, without proper authorization from the company and peoples who created it, and should be treated as such.
Let it die, honestly. Dirty's not going to release the models to ANYONE, even if they wanna take the blame for anything, he's stated this numerous times. You've got people who don't know jack, coming in pretending they do, so they get new "uber modelz" to use, and pestering the living daylights out of people like dirty for the models, and people like myself or blue2k because we don't go "hey, no matter that it's stealing, release them", that we're some trouble makers.
This thread is doing nothing but causing a ruckus, and should probably be closed. If peopel want to talk about IP Violations, I suggest they talk in the thread that was created solely for that purpose, instead of this already 11 page long one... It's over, they're not being released til Dirty gets word from fox, so no need to keep posting here.

Dirty_J has absolutely no obligation to realease these models to anybody, don't treat it like he does. You guys wouldn't even care if he had never said he was working on it.

omg some people are reacting way to much over this little model conversion. Big deal he converted a couple of models and would most likely include fox in the readme. I mean common do you really think fox is gonna sue someone on the forums, they dont even have your address or phone number or even your name lol. The most they would do is close down the download. Anyone remember the Col. marines mod that was underway for the HL engine that was like aliens vs predator? that got foxxed right away too and that was free..
I'm all for new models, specially ones from my favorite series of movies.. but I don't want to see someone get in trouble over it... if someone really wanted to, they could just find the model in avp/avp2 and export it then reimport it via a hl model program (i believe)
Yeah, they'll especially do that kinda stuff when it's something they might be making a game about. Don't bet that nobody that does AvP hasn't seen the spam everywhere on many gaming sites about NS...

Before the patch the Marine's Online had none of their equipment, and in single player they lacked camouflaged armor and did not have the proper uniforms.
Whats the current status of this, those models are cool. If you tell me how to convert them, I will and host them. A lot of people are intrested in these models.

If you REALLY were fed up with everybody else's **obscenity** and truly wanted this ordeal to end, you could simply delete you first post and not mention ANY of this until/if Fox responds to your e-mail.
