here are colonial marines i converted from avp2

i take ABSOLUTELY NO CREDIT FOR THESE MODELS SKINS OR ANIMATIONS

all i did was convert them

    the heavy is a different model, so it will change
    unless of course you have the marine as both models

    that does look pretty good, although perhaps a darker reskin might carry more of the aliens feel.

    in the second screenshot, it looks like the marine's not holding a gun, or it's clipping through his hand and positioned lower. is that a tripmine or something he's holding maybe?

    i was there when we took those screenshots, the problem is at the moment the hl skeleton sucks.

    so our solution is. make a pulse rifle that would fit in his hands as a replacement model. which he is now doing because he is smarter then me.

    the hands dont line up because these models werent built to use the NS skeleton so they wont ever be perfectly aligned unless i deform the **obscenity** out of the arms

    i have to retexture the bloody bottoms to limbs because in avp2 they make the bottoms of the limbs bloody so when a limb comes off its well.....bloody

    ill work with this a lot, but ill most likely end up making a pulse rifle that will fit into his hands

    I know what u mean. I went to third person mode in avp2, and when i backed up into the wall, i saw the inside of the model, all red. Well, u are doing a great job. Why not just try to edit the model, rather than convert it, to try to fit on to the skeleton. Just some editing, and some trial and error, and i think u will get it. Good luck.

    because when its not my work i dont like editing it at all
    i do my own work and i didnt feel like doing work this time so i did a simple conversion

    this will take a lot shorter of time to do, i will deform the **obscenity** out of the arms though so you all can see how it would look if it were to
    fit well

    Where is the shoulder lamp? Where is the little flap that was on the back of the helmets?

    I wish AVP2 stayed true to the movies.

    i was considereing modelling that helmet flap

    im already getting a camo skin done since the armor in the movies was camo

    but ya this model isnt done yet by a long shot, i still have to include the shoulder lamp and all that other mess so rest assured
    im gonna attempt this one movie accurate

    Hey Dirty_J, are u planning to make a heavy armor replacement? If not, i might try to convert the heavy gernadier from AVP2, or i may try converting the Quake II Terran Marine and modify it.

    Well, i got the gernadier extracted and got the textures working. I'm converting teh gernadier using Milkshape3d. I hope to use the gernadier as a possible Heavy Armor replacement. Well, i'm working on it and i just got some ideas. Drop me a line online via AIM @ LancerEvo916.
