From what I can remember. I listen to a wide range of music, so there are plenty of bands.
While, aside from the fact I have a tremendous amount of trouble classifying bands into actual groups; in fact, the only three groups I can distinguish quickly, country, polka and rap, are my least favorite entries (actually, techno's not really that hard either).
Django Rheinhardt sucks too, along with most other Jazz - especially once you get into Bebop and stuff...I took a Jazz History course...only college level course I ever slept in...Louis Armstrong is about the only Jazz artist worth listening to.
Anyway, although I can't even name the members of the following bands, they are my favorites (in a psuedo-order of popularity, based on the number of songs I have):
R.E.M. --- Beatles (probably the only group whose members I know)-- Green Day- Matchbox Twenty- Queen- Michelle Branch- Led Zepplin Metallica Nena [German] White Stripes Virus (Вирус) [Russian] Bob Dylan Rammstein [Obvious ] Strokes Nirvana Red Hot Chilli Peppers Rolling Stones Weezer Doors Tom Petty Tatu [Russian] (none of those English ones, couple techno remixes in there) Wise Guys [German] Linkin Park
[Those marked with a - are ones which I actually own CDs for... (many are from other people's CDs)]
Of course, you could basically hand me any song that's not of a polka/jazz/rap/country variety and I would most likely like it...

Linkin Park are one of those bands you can not listen to constantly. I loved them, met my current girlfriend who over played them to death at one point, couldn't stand them for about 3 months. Now I am back to listening to them again.
Esuna is passionate about music, let him argue and make his point. Just let's hope whatever time round it is, the aggression stays low

Infact, I thought that the entire push the button album was terrible compared to most of their previous work such as Dig your own hole. Now that is a great album. Every song is unique and worth listening to, from the fast paced, guitar rocking "Block Rockin' Beats" to the quicker, synthesized, almost Indian "The private psychedelic reel".
Sorry to go off on a bit of a tangent there, but I absolutely adore the chemical brothers. They are one of those rare bands (another would be Muse) that sound brilliant on cd, but a million times better live. If you ever get a chance to see them perform, it is definitely worth it, if not for the music then for the guaranteed equally brilliant lightshow.
Edit: Another great band is The Rutles. Eric Idle is a damn genius.

esuna can express his point all he wants- I just find it stupid that he can even directly insult those who like Linkin Park, yet if I say a word against a band he likes, it seems the world(and the mods) come down on me.
You can easily express your likes without insulting someone else's, you know. Expressing one's views WITHOUT OFFENDING OTHERS is how it is on the NS forums. Or at least, not blatantly offending others.
