    In no particular order:

    Rasputina
    Manson
    Voodoo Glow Skulls
    Cherry Poppin' Daddies
    Royal Crown Revue
    Cab Calloway
    Motograter
Tibetan Buddhist Monk Chants (rock on)
    Rolling Stones
    Leningrad
    Ivan Rebroff
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (voodoo seems to be a running theme here)
    Electric Six
    OLD Korn
    Murderdolls
    Pink Floyd
    Rob Zombie
    Harry Belafonte
    ICP
    7 Seconds of Love
    Seventh Image

From what I can remember. I listen to a wide range of music, so there are plenty of bands.

Bob Marley. Nothing relaxes a person like Bob Marley.

I listen to alot of other stuff to but Marley is by far the best.

While, aside from the fact I have a tremendous amount of trouble classifying bands into actual groups; in fact, the only three groups I can distinguish quickly, country, polka and rap, are my least favorite entries (actually, techno's not really that hard either).

Django Rheinhardt sucks too, along with most other Jazz - especially once you get into Bebop and stuff...I took a Jazz History course...only college level course I ever slept in...Louis Armstrong is about the only Jazz artist worth listening to.

Anyway, although I can't even name the members of the following bands, they are my favorites (in a psuedo-order of popularity, based on the number of songs I have):

    R.E.M. ---
Beatles (probably the only group whose members I know)--
    Green Day-
    Matchbox Twenty-
    Queen-
    Michelle Branch-
    Led Zepplin
    Metallica
    Nena [German]
    White Stripes
    Virus (Вирус) [Russian]
    Bob Dylan
    Rammstein [Obvious <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->]
    Strokes
    Nirvana
    Red Hot Chilli Peppers
    Rolling Stones
    Weezer
    Doors
    Tom Petty
Tatu [Russian] (none of those English ones, couple techno remixes in there)
    Wise Guys [German]
    Linkin Park

<span style='font-size:4pt;line-height:100%'>[Those marked with a - are ones which I actually own CDs for... (many are from other people's CDs)]</span>

Of course, you could basically hand me any song that's not of a polka/jazz/rap/country variety and I would most likely like it...

Ignoring quality as its just relative, I'm assuming its because they span several styles and genres.

I'm beginning to realize that Linkin Park is to many people what the Bloodhound Gang was to me: A gateway drug into more sophisticated music. In so far, I can accept them as necessary, though I find them generally very uninspired.

Have what you want, but keep the dogs off of us that like them- I find that moderation on these music threads is quite biased against them- and yet if someone flames me for not "Absolutely Loving" the beatles, its ignored.

I like their music, their one of my top 2 bands- everyone has preferences, get used to it that we don't like these old styles all that much. If you wanna talk about 'Classic' music, the TRUE origin of rock, why not go listen to some Blues? Some BB King? Taj Mahal? Johnny Reed?

Sorry. Just that it sickens me that every time one of these come up and I mention LP, I get flamed, but they're flames are ignored. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I used to like linkin park, but then they started overplaying all their songs, and then it got old quickly.

some of their songs are ok-ish every now and then though.

Linkin Park are one of those bands you can not listen to constantly. I loved them, met my current girlfriend who over played them to death at one point, couldn't stand them for about 3 months. Now I am back to listening to them again.

Esuna is passionate about music, let him argue and make his point. Just let's hope whatever time round it is, the aggression stays low <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

The song is alright, but pretty crap by their standards. Infact, I thought that the entire push the button album was terrible compared to most of their previous work such as Dig your own hole. Now that is a great album. Every song is unique and worth listening to, from the fast paced, guitar rocking "Block Rockin' Beats" to the quicker, synthesized, almost Indian "The private psychedelic reel".

Sorry to go off on a bit of a tangent there, but I absolutely adore the chemical brothers. They are one of those rare bands (another would be Muse) that sound brilliant on cd, but a million times better live. If you ever get a chance to see them perform, it is definitely worth it, if not for the music then for the guaranteed equally brilliant lightshow.

Edit: Another great band is The Rutles. Eric Idle is a damn genius.

esuna can express his point all he wants- I just find it stupid that he can even directly insult those who like Linkin Park, yet if I say a word against a band he likes, it seems the world(and the mods) come down on me.

You can easily express your likes without insulting someone else's, you know. Expressing one's views WITHOUT OFFENDING OTHERS is how it is on the NS forums. Or at least, not blatantly offending others.

I get that feeling when constructively criticising in the mapping forum. People do not understand that you are doing it for a benefit or a cause or to prove your point, they take offense too easily all because someone "unrespected" said it. Although let's not derail the thread with speech like this.
