whoever said, "relax and open your package as normal" was right.

if you bought it with your own money and it's a legal possession, it's none of your parents' damn business. if they get weirded out, fine, explain and talk it out with them, BUT THE BOOKS ARE IN NO WAY THEIR PROPERTY. don't let them take them.

Personally, I wouldn't be too quick in assuming that your parents don't know about package 1. Afterall, a large package should be quite noticeable, and since your mom would have brought it in, she would have already noticed it. If she never found out what it was, she may wonder what it is she missed. You could disarm her suspicion by showing her another book and saying that that was the book that came in (but I would have reservations about this since this is dishonest) or you could just remove/hide the book completely so she won't be able to find out. Of course, you should have an appropriate answered prepared in case your parents ask you what it was you got.

Would it be easier to rent a mailbox next time you do this? This way, no one would kow that you received a package.

Zig, Mantrid's parents are obviously way to accepting for him to have to take this attitude towards them. Now we have all had reasons to resent authority, but in this situation Mantrid's attitude seems absolutely fine, if not perfect.

FAKE

Maybe you should start running around your house naked, tied in ropes, going LOOK WHAT I LEARNED FROM BARNES AND NOBLES MOM!

Maybe you can get a lawsuit out of it

And, how did you order something online(?) if you're 14? ... Or.. did you go to the store and say "Hey, have any femdom books?" and let the clerk point you to the "Over legal age" area, cause either way, something was illegally done here as far as I know...

No offense or anything, but it seems like a stupid idea to order books like these that you don't want your parents seeing unless you know they're either going to be gone or you're going to be able to stay home and receive the package. Anyways, a trick I used once for a Christmas present was to go out and receive the package while carrying a small and easy to conceal box filled with a pair of books in good condition from Amazon.com that I had ordered a long time ago, and then leave the new package under your porch until it's safe and say the small one is the one you ordered... but that only works in the right situations, and of course you have to be home to do it.
• TychoCelchuuuTychoCelchuuu Anememone Join Date: 2002-03-23 Member: 345Members
Half.com (and maybe Amazon) sells used books also, so if you want to you could try the box idea but put whatever books your parents didn't really know they (you) owned and show them those. Say you bought 'em used.

And Mantrid IMO is not "too young". A decent amount of people develop these feelings and are aware of them before they even reach 12.

As far as I know, it's not illegal for minors to buy books with /information/ about sexual topics. If they were porn, that would be a different story. Barnes & Noble lets you use gift cards to shop online. I got a gift card as a Christmas gift. And there is nothing illegal about buying books on topics like that. Its not pornography, and the books are mostly informative. I mean, anyone can buy a romance novel, and these are much more tame than the raunchy taled told within those.

So, in short, lay off. I didn't do anything illegal. If you have some prejudice towards people who have these interests, then I'll respect that, but keep it to yourself.

Just letting you know straight up that you should keep these things on the down low. If your mom finds out, she'll probably need to talk with you about it, and I have this suspicion that you saying "I'm exploring my sexual potential" is going to save you from the nasty fallout.

You are probably mature for your age (your grammar betrays an older personality than average for 14) and therefore your interests are more extreme than your average peer's, especially in the sexual arena. Take it from me though, don't do anything beyond reading. At your age, sexuality is a dangerous game to play, especially when it involves whips and chains, as opposed to the heavy "petting" and oral sex that 14 year olds typically go for.

If you can make it with the books, please, just read and fantasize, don't ever try to actually experience these things, especially not when you have so much more to look forward to. You're a smart kid, and you're making smart kid mistakes right now. You're dealing with a hefty mix of raw, unbridled 14 year old male sexual instinct and a tendency to overanalyze a situation until it results in you either screwing up a major part of your life and/or getting caught. Sit down, take a breath, and don't just think with your "little head."

Yeah, don't do anything yet ... Wait until later on ... and even then start small and work your way up. Don't dive in head first until you know what you like, or what parts of BDSM you like. And don't submit to just *anyone* ... You have to know you can trust them ... trust is crucial.

The only people I tell openly are those in the drama clique. Since we're all very accepting, I know there isn't a problem. That, and everyone there already knows, because as soon as one knows, the collective gossip concioussness springs to life. 1) your very mature for a 14 year old

2) hide it from your dad but tell your mom about it

3) if they do some how find out and whatnot be completely honest with them you dont want a lie blowing up in your face later

4) LoL at Delarosa's "toy" story

Yes. He is. But this does *not* mean he is ready to be certain of what path he wants to take. Sure, he could be ... and I encourage him to explore further. IMO give it a couple of years ... There is a *lot* of information on the internet, but don't trust all of it. Some sites I have found say it's a "medical condition" ... but it isn't. It's personal preference. Read, and read lots. Then decide if it seems appealing. But do know that people like different aspects, and BDSM is a broad, broad area.

Just say that you and your drama class ordered it to study for something you guys are working on in school as a part of a play or something.

Might upset your mother though and she'd call the school etc....
