I wish he was harder and the ending was better... oh well.

Just to let you guys know. There is a file that you can edit to make the cyber demon stronger/weaker and the same with all other creatures.

Cyber Demon is that huge rocket launching horror that you run into.

Oh ya, does anybody know what he says when you fight him?
Sadly, I have yet to fully play D3 on my own pc. Due to it being win98 and that thing they released, well i just have no clue how to use it. So i'm getting a new comp by the end of the month hopefully. I've played it on my friend's pc and gotten threw several of the levels.

Tbh, the original Dooms posed more of a challenge.
No fear, modifications will be made to make the game harder.
Even thought Nightmare is already a pain with plenty of one shot kills. =X

Other than that..
"uSe Us"
God I love that lol

*fixed a typo lol*

I'm going through it on nightmare right now, and after you get to hell becomes much harder than Doom 1/2 on Ultra-Violence, but not as hard as nightmare was in those games, which is a good thing because it was completely impossible.

Oh, and post hell veteran was about the same as ultra violence. Just remember that the difficulty goes way up after you've gone to hell.

Did anyone else notice that the tablet that pictured the legendary hero was a picture of the original doom cover?

One annoying was that room on Administration levels (where you meet your first little pinky <3), when you go upstairs, and find the room with flaming pentagram on the floor, few candles and 3 bodies. Not to mension the pulsating flesh on walls and roof... Now that gave me the creeps.

No I read it, glad I did or I would have missed it.

Lets see my scareist moment was when you have to follow the little sentry robot for the first time and I accidently shot him. One of those two headed demon wolf things or whatever they are came crawling down the completely dark hallway and all I could see were it's four red eyes getting closer. Shot it...missed completely, it bites and tears I shoot around the walls like an idiot and end up throwing a gernade at my feet. That was enough Doom3 for one night.

I found the DOOM tablet and the id room on my own the first time through. They're both rather obvious, as id didn't stick them somewhere completely remote like that song in level 5 of Halo.

Is it just me.. or is anyone else having a BLOODY HARD TIME CONNECTING AND PLAYING ON ANY SERVER IN MULTIPLAYER?!

**Fresh** install of D3... and I still can't join 80% of the servers I click on!

I filter out passworded servers... YET THEY ARE STILL THERE.

Even servers with "No Pass Req!!" in there name REQUIRE A PASSWORD!

And some servers say they are full when they have 1/4 people in them! What?!

And some go as far to even say that my pk4 file is missing data or something.

And how come I cannot join servers with more than a maximum of 4 players?

Please, please please help me!

"Tell me Sid, Tell me!" I hear you say.

The answer? Download The All Seeing Eye (3rd Party Server browser for all kinds of games).

Enjoy.

I just beat it on nightmare, and unfortunately there is nothing different besides what is apparent from the very beginning.

I couldn't help laughing out loud when I killed the cyberdemon thought, the soul cube... it rips and tears his guts!

I also did the unthinkable, I died while fighting the cyberdemon. I was just walking along when one of those two headed things snuck up behind me. I turned around and shot a rocket behind it, and an imp chose this exact moment to jump into my rocket. That damn rocket launcher hurts more than it helps.

The scariest part for me was in the first third of the game... One of the Red-Out sequences, with the floating bodies... That and I almost creamed my pance when that Hell-Knight stuck its head through the bloody door...

The first third of Doom3 was scary for me.
And then I got the Chainsaw.
Pre-chainsaw, I was split between crying and laughing at the brilliance of the game...
Equipped with the chainsaw, I snapped. I realized, that I was now more evil than what was coming at me. The fear turned to homicidal mania. The hallways resounded with evil Laughter, and it wasnt coming from the game. Roaming the hallways, throat sore from cackling through the bloodbath, I realized that Doom 3 brought me one step closer to becoming a Serial Killer.

<3 the chainsaw.
I use it all the time, and not just to conserve ammo. Its the perfect for use when an enemy is teleporting in, as they are playing their intro animation, run up and hack their limbs off before they can react. In regular combat, vs an active opponent, get your timing and distancing down, and remember you can duck some attacks.
The Beavertooth is perfect against Zombies, as you can pop in, and gib them before they can strike. Imps are a bit more problematic, they tend to get a swat in before they go down, if you arent careful. Teleporters are great targets, because they provide the perfect opening for noisy gibbing when they teleport. Two-heads are like Imps, only easier. Spiders are risky, Lost souls too. The Grunts are extremely chainsaw-able, if you can dodge their tenticle and duck to the right.

Interestingly enough, I realized that I killed 70-80% of the Cacodemons, (Floating heads) with the chainsaw. Even when there were 3+ attacking me, I always found that the Chainsaw worked best.
Sometimes, I find I actually take less damage when I just charge through a level chainsaw roaring, than I would if I were to go it slow, in a methodical ranged engagement...

I even chainsawed the first 2 Hell-Knights you fight, at the main Teleporter. I did an absurd amount of damage to the Guardian with the rotating blade, before I realized that attacking the body wouldnt take it down.

I swear that my Beavertooth shall feast on the flesh of CyberDemon.

Whenever I'm trapped in close quarters with a large number of enemies (especially with one of those summoners) I use the chainsaw until my soul cube is ready and then finish the summoner/hellknight.

Oh for people who get confused about flying heads

Lost Soul=A Skull on fire that can fly, their not the cacodemons.
Cacodemon=i havent seem them yeat but i assume their like their counterparts in Doom 1, generally look ugly, fly, and shoot flame balls from their mouth.

Sounds about right...... they dont look much like their Doom1/2 counterparts though, and they're a hell of a lot faster....

My scariest doom 3 moment, so far has to be ALL of Delta Labs (and ive only just entered the place - just picked up the Data Link thingy, or whatever its called). That place seriously freaks me out...

I wanted to get there thanks to the guy who said his office was there with the BFG90000.... now im wishing i'd never even heard of the place.

Mirror things is right after when everything (literally) goes to hell. When you get back to the mars city and visit the bathroom, when you get close to it you see it. Kinda freaked me out the first time.

I think now its the european turn. Doom3 release yesterday in the UK (Friday), well thats what play.com said. Anyway, slowly started pushing through the levels and have just saved and quit at the start of administration. Its dark and 2:45Am, and i think im probably shaking. One of the scariest things i found so far was either staring into the mirror and all of a sudden it going red flames appear behind me and a deafingly loud noise. The other would likely be walking along underneath a dead body hanging from the ceeling and hearing "Help me" in a really damn creepy voice while in a dark room.

Anyway, if this has been mentioned sorry. I dont want to read the spoliers so is skiped towards te end. Although the "they took my baby" or whatever sounds interesting

Edit: Although i am interested to know will i ever hook up wih that other team? I like FPS's where i can work in sort of a team.

No, you won't. You'll find out more later.

Update: This game is easily worth the 3 days of pure pain of looking on ebgames.com waiting for it to say "Shipped". Its worth the $60 I paid for it. Its worth all the emotion I've invested in both it and the editor.

I simply love this game. It has such a firm hold on me- I want to keep playing, but sometimes, I've just got to stop because my own mind is just paining to go on...the breathing...the screams...the whimpers...they...get me.
