Yeah, I'm in the second part of Delta Labs right now..you don't want to be there.

Maybe I think you're at a different part. Are you at the part where your objective is to get the plasma inducer but the door to ops is locked?

Okay, DEFINATELY new scariest part. The part right after you get charged by your first 2 chainsaw wielding wackos in that room with the PDA after the Skeleton Vent scene...not that. Now, go into the next area that you can thanks to Holiday's PDA- you go in, and sure, zombie blah blah, but no- after that, you go a bit farther, and a woman starts screaming and crying at the same time, but whenever she screams, it eminates down the halls these satanic symbols....uuugh its creepy and scared the crap outta me at the same time. I HAD to stop.

Ok, HOW THE ****, do I use the damn Soulcube? I killed 5 monsters, then I get this icon glowing at the bottom right, while the Soulcube says, "USE US!", and while I'm sitting there trying to figure out how to bring it out, I'm getting my **** handed to me by spiders.
  • RyoOhkiRyoOhki Join Date: 2003-01-26 Member: 12789Members
The default key for the Soulcube is "Q". After killing 5 creatures the Soul Cube can be deployed and will attack the nearest target. You will gain health equivilant to the health of the killed creature. The cube takes out everything except boss monsters in one hit.

Ok, Now I'm stuck again! There is a broken elevator and what seems to be a melted bridge. I take dmg if I get to close to the red parts of the bridge. I've tried jumping across it numerous times, but no luck. Please help.

    I haven't played much, but...

The other day I had a friend over who was sitting in my computer chair, playing Doom. He wasn't very far either, just making his way back towards Marine HQ from the underground city for the first time. When he went through the door after your first imp encounter, and that other one waiting for him lept at the screen, he literally fell off the chair screaming it startled him so badly.

I was laughing my **** off at him, but I'll admit it scared the hell out of me too.

D3 is way to easy if you aren't playing on Nightmare.
If you want to unlock Nightmare without beating the game on Veteran. There is something you can change in one of the files. Just change the 0 variable to 1.

Gives it more of a thrill since almost everything will one shot kill ya. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

lol even the very first guy you have to kill, (the tech guy who you were searching for)

I guess i was expecting more conversation out of him or something, but the flaming skulls go through him and he instantly takes a swipe at me.

This scared me the first time I played b/c I had turned my back on him lookging at all the other flying skulls lol.

I still had my flash light out.

I turn back around and RAWR SMack!!

    I was like Oh Crap!

I clocked the scientist now turned zombie over the head to no affect with my flash light, quickly pulled out my side arm and proceeded to emtpy it into the scientist's mid section.

Forget even trying for a headshot (first time I played I didnt know if headshots even mattered anyway)

man he took those 12 rounds like a champ.
Better then that armoured marine who comes busting in 2 seconds later in my opinion.

Suddenly all that ammo I had been given and picking up along the way didnt seem like so much.

Oh well, still better than the way Gordon Freeman had to start off. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Yeah but at least with Gordon Freeman the melee weapon you were given actually hits things.

Stuck at the lift part in the caverns. I know that I have to lower the lift so I can walk across that broken bridge, but I get winch error.

i finished the game pretty quickly, and i had craploads of ammo all the way through. 204 shotgun shells after hell and about 210 beforehand. i never got the BFG until way late in the game though. never really needed it.

No offense, but man. Just take some time to figure out the game. That is something like the 4th time you posted getting stuck. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

To stay on topic: My most frightening moment? That freaking spider behind the computer monitor. It is not part of the main game, but when you click a certain option it grabs the monitor and jumps at you. WTH that was just mean.

I played the game through on Marine and unlocked Nightmare. I think you just have to beat it on any difficulty, though why anyone would want to play Recruit is beyond me giving how pathetically easy it is.

I just beat Doom 3. I gotta say, the boss was pretty easy. But I enjoyed being on the edge throughout the whole game. One thing that really freaking pisses me off is that Dr. Petruger (aka **** **** mofo) gets away. Well not really, the soulcube seals him in but I really wanted to **** him up.

My scarist moment, or most starteling, however you want to look at it, was seeing those ******* demon children for the first time... I was like WTH, really disturbing stuff.

The coolest moment I've experieced thus far is fighting the guardian of the soul cube... that thing looked awesome, and really terrifying at the same time.

I haven't completed the game yet, but I'm probably going to late tonight. I think I'm close.

Then it's onto horrible MP unless I feel the need to play on nightmare. (which I hear is really, really hard)
