Oh yeah, I forgot that one of mine. When I was six or seven (yeah...those were my most active years, and my most painful) I was learning how to skate, on the ice for the first time and the instructor pushed me off and did something else. 15 seconds later I fell over, smacked my head, and split the helmet. No one took me to the hospital or clinic for a checkup or anything, even though I complained of headaches, and my mother never found out. Had headaches quite often for a year after that. Ahh...competence. Such a fleeting thing. Think it'd be required when dealing with children.

i went off a bike jump and bailed too late and smashed my face right in the handle bars. my chin hit the handle bars making one of my front teeth go through my lip and then it broke in half. had to get stitches in my lip and i now have an $800 fake tooth.

I got loads of minor ones from playing Rugby (black eyes, busted noses fractured cheek bones etc). Major one while playing Rugby was a displaced knee cap cos someone stamped on my knee while I was on the floor during a maul

Been stabbed on two separate occasions. First was in a night club I was at the bar getting some drinks and saw my mate get into a scuffle with someone then he kinda dropped to the floor which I thought was strange as he's no slouch when fighting and the bloke he was grappling with was smaller than him; turned out that instead of punching the little **** was stabbing . I ran over and started laying into him and got stabbed as well, the guy ran off and was later arrested, my mate ended up nearly dying (he flat lined at one point in the A&E) and I ended with a punctured lung.

Second time I got stabbed was when 2 people tried to mug me as I was on my way home from some bars alone, I refused to give them anything (being drunk I thought I could take on the world as usual :/). Was stabbed up my back about 6 times, I collapsed int a heap an they ran off with nothing, I was found by some students shortly after that were kind enough to call me an ambulance.

Had a pint glass smashed over my head, that hurt like hell and needed 8 stitches bled a lot and looked really bad but wasn't; even though my head hurt like hell for 2 weeks.

I sprained my ankle once... I was so drunk I slipped from a stair. Was pretty funny after all. But it lasted 4 weeks.

Hrm... well there was the one time that someone canoeing with me whacked me in the head with a aluminum paddle... but thats not the worst. When I was young i somehow managed to strip off a significant amount of skin/muscle from my left arm... and for some reason they used iodine on the wound...

But diseases aren't cool unless you've got leprosy and you're doing a BMX track and you go over a jump and your arm goes flying into the crowd.

One time I was out camping with scouts. Someone had rigged up this huuuuge rope swing over the river made of steel cable. The end had a triangle of metal on it with the steel rope tied around it. The end of the rope was kinda frayed and bushy. I swung out on the swing, dropped into the water, climbed back up and was surprised to see a bunch of people staring at my right eye. I then noticed there was some blood dripping off my chin. The bushy bit of rusty steel had raked lines from my cheekbone to my eyebrow. I had scratches on my eyelid. I swam back across the 150 meter wide river dripping blood into the water shite-scared of crocs and had my eye dabbed with alcohol rubs.

Another time at that same spot I decided to climb up to the top of the tree from which the rope was hung. I got up past where the top knot of the swing and was enjoying the view. I slipped, lost my balance and fell backwards down about 15 meters into the water on my back. I was numb all over and had no control of my limbs. All I could do was keep a lungful of air to stop me sinking. I managed to float myself over to the bank and I lay there for a while 'till I regained feeling in my extremities. Not amazingly pleasant.

One time when I was very young I decided to demolish my cubby-house whilst standing inside it. I starting bashing bits of it with a claw hammer. A part of it that had a rusty nail protruding fell down and gave me a nice deep scratch across my forehead and eyebrow. If I lift my eyebrows up nowadays you can see the line.

Another time when I was very young I broke my mother’s seashell mobile thing. I knew she liked it a lot so I tried to glue the fishing line back onto the shell with a hot glue gun. It dripped down onto my inner thigh and stung like you wouldn’t believe. I’ve still got a nice patch of scar tissue there now.

When I was like 3 or 4 (I remember this perfectly), I was playing on the monkey bars outside of our apartment complex, I slipped and fell because there was a bee on one of the bars I was reaching for... fell, face first, into the woodchips below. Woodchip went through my bottom lip (the space between the chin and the actual lip). All the way through. My step-dad rushed me to a Medical Clinic that was like, 15 miles away... with me bleeding all over the inside of his nice sports car. The Nurse stictched me up without even giving me any numbing agents.

Still got the scar to this day, and I get asked about it every day.

When I was 7 I was riding my grandfathers bike, or trying to with him behind me (I was tiny). Well, my foot slipped and my shin went into the gears of the bike... left a cut down to the bone on it. Blood. Everywhere.

And the most recent one, when I was 10 or 11, I was living in Grand Junction, Colorado. Me and my Grandfather were up on a mountain called the Mesa or something. Well, there was this rock up at the tourist center thingy, and it didn't look high when I was on top of it, so, being the little genius I was, I jumped off of it... Bloody thing turned out to be about 9 feet tall. Now, normally I would have landed that, but there was loose gravel under it... Feet shot out in front of me and I cracked my tailbone, which still gives me pain today.

    As for my injuries...

Cut my wrist when I smashed a window (my bedroom one :x) out of sheer frustration. Didn't hit anything major, though.

Got a nice lovely big scar up the back of my calf. I have NO clue whatsoever where it came from, I was just out wading one day, and someone informed me my leg was bleeding rather badly. I didn't even feel any pain from it, but it was a rather large gash.

Another one...Someone twisted my ankle like 180 degrees before. Hurt like hell, but I managed to get away with a sprained ankle at most. Which still suprises me.

Guess those are my worst injuries.

Oh yea, forgot about this one.

Im walkin the rig deck last year (my dad took me out) and they start this fire drill.
"Prepare to ditch, ditching, ditching, ditching" and all that. So im joggin it across the rig floor and I trip on some ledge. Fall down a short flight of stairs and my shin bashes against another ledge at the bottom. Strips about a foot of flesh off my shin, could see the bone. Didnt notice till the drill was over, the blood couldnt soak through the rain gear. That one hurt.

Yeah, what Seph said. I've yet to finish colouring the rest of the picture, though.

    incomplete picture if you're interested.

And that ankle thing still surprises me as well. Among the rest of your oddities.

This isn't exactly my worst, but I did get my jaw smacked by my dad's foot, knocking one of my teeth out. Needless to say, it was painless until later.

Once in about the 3rd grade or so, some idiot and I were being dumbasses and cutting through paper with a pencil. Um... one of us would hold it, the other would build up some force and swing down into the paper. Yes, we were complete morons. Anyway, I swear the world went in slow motion as I saw that pencil, from the starting point, go into my thumb. The lead broke off and was stuck in there. At first, I just stared blankly at it, then when the teacher came I began crying my eyes out. My mom was called from work, took me to the doctors, where I got a shot in my thumb that did NOTHING for the pain, and the lead was removed.

Some years later, I was showing off my new breaking technique on my bicycle. That of sticking my feet in the front wheel. I, of course, did this going down a small hill and I flipped entirely over, and landed on my head.

Another similar story, around the same age, not sure exactly when though. Two streets away, there was this really small curb that sloped down into the street and ended the sidewalk. Well, this was a pretty deserted street so I decided to goof around. Finally I discovered something fun. Going really fast off that little slope down, I could pull a really low turn and swoop around the street. By that I mean, when I turned, my body was very close to the ground (closer than it should be on a bike anyway), and I would pull a wide turn that way. Well, after lots of practice I decided to showoff to a friend of mine, so I pedalled up to his house, and called him down. Once there, I asked him for the all clear that there were no cars coming, and I built up speed, went off the curb, did my turn and... SMACK, skidded on the floor. My whole right side was screwed up, my clothes torn, my whole side was bleeding all over. Yeah, that sucked.

After that, the worst thing was bumping into a desk *point other thread* my poor knee

EDIT: Reading arctica's last post reminded me of another. This was in the fourth grade, when I had braces. I had a friend over and I don't remember what we were doing, but it involved running in the house. On our way to the living room, I tripped and my mouth fell straight onto the side of the couch, you know, on that metal part that give the arm it's shape. My braces were torn off and my mouth was bleeding, but it didn't hurt at all.

I was jumping dirtbikes at my friends house. I jumped my KX125 over the road, and didnt have enough speed and (stupid me, ive been riding way long enough not to do this) gave it gas at the lip. I flew 10 feet in the air and faced a ditch going about 45mph. Shattered my left ankle to bits, I still cant walk straight

You know NOTHING of pain untill you break your ankle in 3 spots and fracturing it in uncountable ammounts on your foot/leg. I dont know how I could of beared the pain so long. Never cussed so much in my life XD

I almost had a .22 round ricochet into my face 2 days ago while I was target shooting. Hit the brick behind me. Nothing is scarier than the wizzing of a bullet past your face. I got the lead piece on my desk next to me right now ^_^

I was driving my bike down the road (going to the video store), had just pedalled through an intersection (also happened to be a hill). It was also a turn, with no sidewalk, so I was forced to be on a busy street with a bicycle with a wobbley front-tire.

The tire ended up hitting the curb when I was going between 20-30. Managed to keep the bike up for a while, but my feet fell off the pedals. Then I started tipping towards the curb, and began touching curb when I was down to 15mph. Managed to have my arm and knee-ish area take the brunt of it; creating some 3inch by 3 inch road rash marks on both (as well as lots of soreness).

Convienently enough ONE person (on a busy street, during a stoplight) asked to see if I was okay.

A few minutes later I straightened out my tire and rode home (got to look at my cool bloody elbow the whole way, too. I think a rock or something must have been there, since there was a fairly deep gouge too (the only discernable scar now present). Mild limp and some soreness for a day, and then all was well. Still a bit of blood-stain on that curb though .

You know you got one hell of an injury to leave a bloodstain, and leave your mark as proof of injury.

When I was rather young I fell out of a tree (couldn't tell you how high it was I was young and small and it seemed at least 3 miles) and landed on my neck, apparently somebody up there likes me because all that happened was I get a stiff neck every once and a while instead of the expected paralysis or death.

Due to a majorly dominant right hand during my teenage years (I had difficulties doing anything technical with my left hand my right hand would just take over, who knows) I used to swap the brake wires around on my bike, so the right hand controlled the back wheel. Unfortunately for me my friends of course didn't do this and when riding a friends bike one day I slammed the right brake on locking the front tyre and flipping me over in what I'm sure was humerous display for all my mates. Alas the bike wrapped itself around my leg and tore my ancillary cruxiate (sp?) ligaments in my right knee. GG limping like a pensioner whenever its cold or raining.

And finally, once when paintballing I did a super-elite commando dive roll over a ditch into what I assumed was grass and mud but turned out to be grass and mud with big rocks just under the surface and I completely sheared my collar bone, and instead of giving me surgery and a metal plate to hold it back in place the doctors just decided to "let it heal". Strangely enough it didn't heal perfectly as the two ends overlapped each other by a good inch so my left collar bone is two inches shorter than my right now.

Various other small accidents, matching scars on the outside of my wrists from two seperate biking accidents, strange scar on my thumb from when I drilled a hole in it at school, scar and delve in my foot from when I stook a garden fork through it one day and various scars on my hands from my knife collection.

Worst? Well, getting your toes run over by a speeding motorbike ins't necessarily fun, or a permanently dislocated right shoulder. It looks fine but I can pop it in and out at will but it's not fun anymore

I guess the most painful I had was being hit in the head with a very fast moving basketball. That left my head spinning....
As for most painful it would be accidentaly stepping on glass. I think everyone knows how that feels....

And strangely enough, I'm practically immune against ankle sprains. Just one sprain and I'll be walking normal again in 30 seconds. Rather weird if you ask me

But still, Renegade still reigns supreme with gunshot to side of head in terms of worst injuries.

Fell about 3m out of a rotting tree, landing on my back, my right side landed on the edge of a pot plant and broke it, leaving the remaining shards to have their way with my back. I was about 7 at the time.

More recently, I had a heavy pen thrown at me from about 2m away, it hit just under my left eye (about 1-3mm below), point first.
