Any skinners wanna help me out here? I made a chain model and a hook model and they're already skin meshed. However, my skinning skills are just not up to it yet. Could anyone help me skin em please?

You'd be better off starting over and skin-meshing it as you go. If you mesh just one instance of the link and then copy-paste, it'll be a *lot* easier to skinmap it later. Currently, you're looking at a nightmare to mesh.

i haven't downloaded it but if i'm guessing correctly, coil is saying thatyou only need the UVs for one link and not all of them. and if you copy and paste the one link, then it will still have the same skin and that way you take up less texture space.

Well, the wires arent actually modelled in, theyre part of the skin.. Actually modelling in wires would probably boost the polygon count to well over 1000.. Currently it only has 984 polygons.

These are world models for Maps. Polygon count is an issue. The whole point is to get the best visual quality with the least geometry. If I start adding all sorts of ultimately useless parts, then they will be unusable for map purposes, which would make this whole thread somewhat pointless.
looks good.. just make sure you put the back of the fridge to the wall, and you wont even notice it <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
