I was thinking of the modellers not talking to the mappers. I'm not sure if they are even aware of this thread's existence.
Why not have a stickied worldmodel release thread in the mapping forums while this thread is kept open here for the discussion of worldmodel wips/requests. A link on the stickied thread in the mapping forum could lead to this topic.
Im, Mapper, Im here, I given MintMan a whole bunch of world model concepts. Should churn out a whole bunch of models that then need finalizing with beutifull textures. Im testing them and makeing sure thay are to absolute scale.
The barrel is too big btw Mintman, It need be scaled down to 0.8/0.7

I made a pack with all the worldmodels in this tread and added a readme (if you are missing in the readme contact me so I can add you). Also if I you have a model that you would like to add to the pack, contact me.
i've got a bunch of theme mirrored <a href='http://www.thrill2kill.com/ns/maps/maps.shtml' target='_blank'>Here</a> with individual preview images and seperate downloads... this would give you a clue as to what is in the pack available on TSA.

yeah and i was wondering if anyone is able to do such a thing? excluding the wires being shoved into him like forks and stuff.... id really like this model to be done because i need to use something like this for my map.
I'm looking for nice, quality model of some kind of craft (dropship/fighter/shuttlecraft etc). To give you an idea of the size I'm aiming at, it should roughly be able to fit through that forcefield entrance into space on co_kestrel. I did a quick search and I found:
- the <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=66620&hl=' target='_blank'>AvP2 dropship</a>
- various stuff by Mr Headcrab. Unfortunately it was all so scattered that I have no way of knowing which is the best/final version.
Can someone post a quick list of all known and upcoming models of dropships and the like? This would be extremely useful to me. I would also like to know where the <i>final</i> versions of Headcrab's models are.
I'm going to be working on a Halo-esque dropship (similar to the pelican) for a map I'm making. I would just convert the pelican from Halo, but I opened it in Max to find 10,000 polygons, all on the exact opposite side from where they should be. If I can find a way of converting it, I'll use it on my comp, but still make a low-poly version for other people. Also making some small fighters.

Yeah i think it was in a few parts. The odd bit is, that in Milkshape (which I used to import the .obj, since at that point I hadn't found a max6 version of OBJ2MAX), it looked fine. Export to .3ds. Open in max. All external faces are gone. Only internal faces are left. Used OBJ2MAX (once i had it). Same problem. It always looked fine in MS, but in Max, it was just messed. And a lot of polies. I extracted it from the last map (Maw) from the model section, and used the one with the highest # of verts (that could be the problem, i dunno).
Edit: nope that wasn't the problem. I imported the lowest one (972 polies), but it does the same thing. Edit 2: managed to fix the face direction issue, now its just the problem that half the faces are plain missing... and the high-detail model is now 1500 polies, after a simple "select all, weld verticies" Edit 3: Amazing what google turns up. Fixed all problems.
Wow, 24 pages and everything looks REALLY good. Was it in pieces?if so ya have imported wrong ones,adding unneccesary polygons.
