Dingo if you are going hardcore defence - dont build BS. Just pump up starbases, get physics and maths, and build cruisers if you feel the need for star ships. If you want pure defensive goodness for your pp - get Crusiers. If you want pure attacking goodness for you pp, get destroyers or BS.

Whoa, you <i>really </i>need to start working on social. Apart from that boost your hydroponic farms and robotics to lvl 5 or so before focusing on something else.
Don't worry about getting your fleet until you have about four planets. Once youre at that point anywhere from 5-10 destroyers will usually do. Once you get 6 planets start crankin out the fleet.
I thought on doing that just for defence. I'm now focusing only on my little planet. I'll finish to upgrade my Starbase to a level 3, and then focus on my robotic facilities and farms. Then maybe a colony ship? I made an alliance with the surrounding planets so I don't get attacked too soon.
What do you guys sugest? Until what level should I upgrade my science? And which one of them? What about my buildings, which one to upgrade more?

Any nublet that starts to upgrade his starbase before at an early stage in the game (before he gets 3 planets) deserves a good bia-tch slap. The reason being, keep your starbase low. And when your enemies launch, boost that starbase like no tomorrow. It makes attack eariler so you can boost it and get the sweet EXP points.
No one launches a fleet to something they know they can't beat, so make them think they can beat it, then show them how wrong they really were.

Simply posting 'send me PP' does not reflect a calculated battle plan, therefore it makes it hard to justify such a risky investment. However if you had of given more info, such as fleet numbers, amount of astro dollars, whether you can spend all points this planet. A rough estimate of how many Astros or PP's will be need to give you a fair chance. All these go in favour of people choosing to send money to you.

I've still got these two French agressors sniffing round my system. I think they're in the process of nicking the other 6 planets in my system.
I was a bit annoyed because I lost a battle that I think was just about 50-50. He buggered off after destroying my lvl 12 starbase (515 def.) with his 500 att. fleet because of what to his mate - let the starbase absorb some of the damage and destroy most of the attacking fleet then mop up with my mobile fleet.
Anyway, I think I'm gonna lose this in the long run. It'lll just end up being a war of attrition in my system as they build up their fleets from the other planets. Although I'm a higher level now (because of the defending I've had to do!), they obviously have the higher production capabilities since its 2v1. The only chance I have to to strike at taking over the other planets with a substantial fleet and take them one-by-one denying them a chance to take a foothold in my system. This will also give me more production.
I have 4000 in the bank now from the SUs (is it me, or has the price of SUs doubled in the past 2 days. What's going on ? Are people buying them all up ?) perhaps to build this fleet. Well, it's 7 battleships anyway.
If anyone has rems/Zelaone near them, and has a decent sized fleet with nothing better to do, send them over to their home planets and give them something to think about. They're at 15,44.

And when your enemies launch, boost that starbase like no tomorrow. It makes attack eariler so you can boost it and get the sweet EXP points.
No one launches a fleet to something they know they can't beat, so make them think they can beat it, then show them how wrong they really were.

If you had of posted this the first time, I and Marine01 would have been able to rationalise helping you. Simply posting 'send me PP' does not reflect a calculated battle plan, therefore it makes it hard to justify such a risky investment. However if you had of given more info, such as fleet numbers, amount of astro dollars, whether you can spend all points this planet. A rough estimate of how many Astros or PP's will be need to give you a fair chance. All these go in favour of people choosing to send money to you.

currently i have 155 destroyers, 15 cruisers, and 30 battleships, no spare pp

I was a bit annoyed because I lost a battle that I think was just about 50-50. He buggered off after destroying my lvl 12 starbase (515 def.) with his 500 att. fleet because of what to his mate - let the starbase absorb some of the damage and destroy most of the attacking fleet then mop up with my mobile fleet.
Anyway, I think I'm gonna lose this in the long run. It'lll just end up being a war of attrition in my system as they build up their fleets from the other planets. Although I'm a higher level now (because of the defending I've had to do!), they obviously have the higher production capabilities since its 2v1. The only chance I have to to strike at taking over the other planets with a substantial fleet and take them one-by-one denying them a chance to take a foothold in my system. This will also give me more production.
I have 4000 in the bank now from the SUs (is it me, or has the price of SUs doubled in the past 2 days. What's going on ? Are people buying them all up ?) perhaps to build this fleet. Well, it's 7 battleships anyway.
If anyone has rems/Zelaone near them, and has a decent sized fleet with nothing better to do, send them over to their home planets and give them something to think about. They're at 15,44.
No small wonder.
