This isn't that important Devs, but if you see it I'd be interested in knowing. I never ran into the save glitch by standing still and only saving after 10-15 seconds of not moving. Did I find a loop hole or did I just get extremely lucky?

Update: we just got word from Microsoft we'll be going live TODAY starting from 4PM Pacific, 7PM Eastern, Midnight UK time with the Save/Load fix. Saved games which don't load should then load. Keep an eye out!

A little worried the update won't be going live today after all. Just had two games queue up for updating but SN isn't one. Either that and it already finished but the fix didn't work.

It's going out globally, so might take a bit of time.

I've got my update!
Wish i had an old corrupted file to try it on, there were at least 5 fails so that all got chopped.
Thanks for all your hard work solving this problem though. You guys rock

Got the update and my "corrupted" save is currently loading. So far so good.
Edit: Make that successfully loaded. Aside from the old performance hiccups no problems yet.

A few hours in and aside from horrible lag whenever reefbacks come around my base and my now abandoned lifepod slowly drifting away everything seems in order.

After the update the other day i started a new hardcore game but the first time i went to save after 1-2 hours of play it went on for about 20 minutes after hitting quit and save. I had to leave for work so i just left it running, after 6 hours it auto-shutdown. When i got home no save.
This morning i booted up a quick survival to test it, after 10 minutes i saved the game and everything looked good but there was no record of the game on the load menu.
Just started a hardcore run, 5min & save, it worked just fine.
Playing on xXB1

That's OK, some folks like to complain till-the-cows-come-home anyway.
Either way, glad you found a fix!

... and if I don't? I still show "Feb-2017 45367". No updates in Steam.
No luck finding a how-to on this topic. But your "MAJOR ISSUE" quote above is a banner link on the SN website main menu.
Support site no help so far. Is a working search too much to ask for?
Meh
