The map, lighting, colors, sound, and textures look dead on awesome.
But! This video does show how awesome per-object motionblur looks in NS2. ADD it already!!!! (even just as a side option for those who love it such as I.)
For some reason the ship landing reminded me of that really old turn-based strategy game incubation, where you would outfit your soldiers at the landing pad
NS2 was in desperate need of some contrasting art direction to offset the dark and dreary corridors of the current map selection...and this brings it in spades! Now that I know this type of sterile and bright art is allowed, I am very psyched for the potential for future maps as well. The contrast really fits well in to the world, and the high definition graphics we have today can really be exploited to bring a space station or ship alive - like it has been done here with Docking. Great job!
/envisions a giant space-mall, full of shops, food courts and playgrounds, all slowly becoming infested...
This looks truly fantastic, and let me tell you what I'm most excited for:
It looks like, on this map, knocking out power nodes will be even more important for aliens because the colors are too bright to hide and sneak around if you leave the power on all the time.
Yes, I said it... I LIKE the power node system! /hides

Awesome map, cant wait to run\fly\phase\blink all over it
This video totally gives me the Half life 1 vibe, which is a good thing. Especially the girl welcoming audio playing in the back ground. It def reminds me of the first time i entered into black mesa lmao
Those textures behind the table on the wall at 1:06 look exactly like some of the textures from "Datacore" a half life 1 map :) Allthough l like the sharp clean and blueish style of this map.Cant wait to play this map.

I second that. It's like mixing <b>Half Life</b>'s Black Mesa Research Facility with <b>Mirror's Edge</b>'s bright and colorful insides.

a round of applause for Dux
and the kharra in the thirsty onos was too funny .... where's a marine gonna get some downtime?
The onos walking animation when he's moving slowly is still foobared though. At 2:05 especially. It looks like he's just floating along the ground.

She does a really nice voice-over, reminds me of the woman who plays the main ship in Homeworld.
Great Docking trailer too ;) Can't wait for you all to get your hands on it. It's great fun to play.
When an artist spends a lot of time on a project, it's easy for them to fall in love. Just go along with what he said.
