I just realised..if they took the time to add THIRTY NINE new medic achievements, why didn't they put any in relating to the new map? like not letting them cap any points or winning withou any defenses from the other team.

80% medic teams suck. Here we were on pubs sometimes without any decent medics and now we have to many useless medics <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
Ah well at least there's a new map, which is more in my interest (I do play medic though and since last week I have grown attached to the German madman) I'm not even interested in achievements, but these new weapons are kinda nice (versatility for the medic seems a good idea as it can get quite tedious <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> )

Seen it get to stage 3 third part, but not beyond... Also I watched the bomb go down the hole on a listen server, it all went to hell <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
I've played the map three times, twice on offense and once on defense. The teams were the same the entire time, and the bomb blew up one of the three times (one of the times we were on offense). To get rid of stickies just send in a few ubers to kill the demomen.

Kinda funny how Valve left in console commands for unlocking achievements... They quickly patched it, but for those that don't know, you could type "achievement_unlock_all" in console and get all of them.
From what I have heard, those that used that command had all their medic achievements removed, regardless of legality. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
I agree with the common sentiment. Too many crappy medics. This encourages good medics to be medic as well, but I have realized I can not rely on the medics on my team to actually heal me. I play as if there is no medic, running back to get medpacks.
C'est le vie...
And of course if I want to be medic there's so few players to actually heal it's stupid.

Just played an 11 a side game of TF2, and 6 of my team were medics just healing each other outside the spawn. I don't really know what they hoped to achieve. They all had that "second opinion" thing within a few minutes, and the other team weren't really able to hurt them.

On the one hand Valve wants to make the medic class more atractive, on the other hand they pushed lamers into the class who only want the achievements. I say, screw that and give us the equipment ffs, achievements are so stupid if they unlock weapons and yes, this kind of behavior is to be expected when you design achievements like this...
I'm beginning to think Valve or rather the TF2 design team is just a newbie in terms of game design. First we have crits... Then we have spawns with only one exit (2fort for example), not to mention 3-4 meters (9-12 feet) melee reach, and now we have this crap...

Crits are fine tbh. They can get annoying when you're killed by them, but feel good when you kill with them. The most annoying thing about them is when I shoot off some rounds in the air for fun, or rocket/sticky-bomb jump, and waste a crit. Wish there was some method of predicting them.

Does it bother anyone else that practically every server is a 24/7 SOME MAP server?
I have such a hard time finding a server that will have map changes so I actually get a varied experience... and I'm not just playing dustbowl round 240.

I have basically been adding decent servers to my favorites as I go. Anything that is either not 24/7 anything, or that has at least 2 good maps on rotation (one is a 24/7 dustbowl/gravel pit, which I am totally cool with).
what really bugs me is that we have this nifty tags system (that honestly sucks bawls), but I can't figure out how to put in a NEGATIVE. I mean, I type in 24/7 I get all the 24/7 servers, however I can't find out the logical not for a tag.

Plus if you got crits for sucking people might start to suck a bunch before a big push.

one of the other rational for critstreaks was so that you would have fewer stalemates. If you get people really jsut dominating the game would end sooner so you wouldn't have long drawn out games.
I still only have one problem with crits is that they are one shot kills and I don't like those on anything except for backstab and head shot (or possibly a full sniper shot on things like scouts/spies/pyros). My solution was simply that no single hit can reduce a player from hull HP to 0 baring those listed earlier. So if you round the corner and run into a crit rocket at full HP you don't die, you just got to 1 hp.

well i found out that you still get the scout kills counted if youre using the new needle gun, so im guessing that kills with any of the new weapons still count. in case anyone was wondering.
but i can't figure out how to get the uber 2 people achievement. anyone done this?

A youtube (how to play the medic) says rapidly switching between players when ubering will allow you to uber 2 and in rare cases 3 players at a time, but then again it's not reliable as 6john said
