Testing has shown that most people tend to focus their preferences on a limited selection of colours. Therefore, every single texture in Left4Dead will be blue. This isn't because we're almost out of time and haven't made the textures yet, it's what YOU want. We won't stop those crazy people who make custom textures, though.
Speaking of colors, was anyone confused when they saw the <a href="http://steampowered.com/status/tf2/tf2_stats.php" target="_blank">TF2 stats</a> and noticed that Red was winning more than Blu on symmetrical maps? I was reminded of this when I saw <a href="http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/06/14/1147214" target="_blank">this Slashdot story</a>. I think it's pretty funny, really. I think Valve should swap to something different, like Green v Blu or something, or they could go with the modern day, Gears of War/CoD4 color scheme and do Gray team v Brown team. That would be exciting.

It showed a good "cool and collected" character... but some of the other parts just didn't get this across as well and he seemed too normal.

The difference between the sniper and the others is that he's a professional, not a crazed gunman. Frankly, I say that makes him stick out like a sore thumb. If that's not memorable, you need your memory examined, because I think it's broken.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->In addition to the three unlockable Pyro weapons, we've made a significant addition to the base Pyro flamethrower. By hitting the alt-fire key, the Pyro is able to produce a blast of compressed air that knocks enemies away, and redirects enemy projectiles. It’s a highly versatile tool, allowing Pyros to get away from nearby enemies after igniting them, to kill enemy soldiers with their own rockets, or to separate enemy Medics from their healing targets. In particular, it allows a skilled Pyro to contain an enemy invulnerability push, and even to separate the Medic completely if the surrounding terrain supports it.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
<img src="http://www.steampowered.com/pyro/images/pic_flaregun.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> The first Pyro unlockable is The Flare Gun, which replaces the shotgun. It allows the Pyro to ignite an enemy at long range, but does require careful aim on their part. It’s particularly useful for causing havoc on Snipers and Engineers who want to keep their distance.
<img src="http://www.steampowered.com/pyro/images/pic_backburner.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> The second Pyro unlockable is The Backburner. This flamethrower is built for the Pyro who likes to ambush their opponents. It removes the compression blast capability, instead guaranteeing critical hits whenever it’s used on an opponent from behind. To aid in survivability, it grants the Pyro an extra fifty health.
<img src="http://www.steampowered.com/pyro/images/pic_ax.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> The third Pyro unlockable is The Axtinguisher. This mighty axe guarantees critical hits on any enemy that’s currently on fire, although it’s significantly weaker against enemies who aren’t. A great combination with the The Flare Gun, or with another Pyro buddy riding alongside doing the igniting.

Most of those achievements look a hell of a lot more realistic than the medic achievements did. And by "realistic" I mean "reasonable to expect people to get most of them during regular play".
The "kill enemy with a taunt" one will probably lead to some seriously retarded situations with idiots rushing the bridge on 2fort spamming the G key at inappropriate times, though.
I do, however, fully endorse having an achievement for causing people to ragequit.
Worse, the hadouken (taunt for the secondary weapon, and the only one that does any damage) does ONE point of damage. Sorry, but I flat out refuse to believe that anyone is going to get that one in the course of normal play. It'll be a great indicator for people who got their achievements on an achievement farming server.
BarbeQueQ is genious though. Along with announcing that you got that achievement, it should ALSO announce who gave it to you, for extra shame. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

Sure are a lot of "grind"achievements though. It'll be hard when everyone's running around as pyro. Looks pretty good. Deflecting projectiles sounds awesome.

--Scythe--<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->How can you, as an Aussie, approve of the goddamn AWFUL excuse for an Australian accent in the movie (but still point out the right-hand drive!)? I'm surprised at you, Scythe.
This film was the best one yet, for me. There are so many little, easter eggs throughout the whole thing (e.g. camper urine bottles) and the editing is great.

This way they're pointing out the people doing good work and instead of taking their credit, or bringing them onto the team to become Valve, they're inviting players to try out their maps (and maybe consider other community maps) and they're also encouraging other mappers to try harder.

The first Pyro unlockable is The Flare Gun, which replaces the shotgun. It allows the Pyro to ignite an enemy at long range, but does require careful aim on their part. It’s particularly useful for causing havoc on Snipers and Engineers who want to keep their distance.

The second Pyro unlockable is The Backburner. This flamethrower is built for the Pyro who likes to ambush their opponents. It removes the compression blast capability, instead guaranteeing critical hits whenever it’s used on an opponent from behind. To aid in survivability, it grants the Pyro an extra fifty health.

The third Pyro unlockable is The Axtinguisher. This mighty axe guarantees critical hits on any enemy that’s currently on fire, although it’s significantly weaker against enemies who aren’t. A great combination with the The Flare Gun, or with another Pyro buddy riding alongside doing the igniting.
35 achivements, with the usual odor of létarded on some of them (who the hell will go spy with 12vs12 pyros?). At least they are easier to farm with fewer ppl and I hope for valves own sake that they have tracked most of those kills/damage/etc achivements for us oldies.
The "kill enemy with a taunt" one will probably lead to some seriously retarded situations with idiots rushing the bridge on 2fort spamming the G key at inappropriate times, though.
I do, however, fully endorse having an achievement for causing people to ragequit.
BarbeQueQ is genious though. Along with announcing that you got that achievement, it should ALSO announce who gave it to you, for extra shame. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
