Not much exciting, some environment stuff but really I am waiting to see how much changes in NS2. I really want the video to be very close to the game visually.

I take this as a definite yes on the film as a promo idea, right?
I think you should have another go at the glowie. Should look more like a crab larva: <a href="http://scienceblogs.com/zooillogix/2007/11/cool_pictures_we_blatantly_sto.php" target="_blank">http://scienceblogs.com/zooillogix/2007/11...atantly_sto.php</a>

That's because your not at the end of the thread. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
So I made a new site you guys can check out if you want www.mojokstudios.com Don't expect Unknown Worlds Videocasts or the NS2 video their before here. I'm will always wait a few days after videos are on this site before they get posted on my own site.
The effects I am doing are changing as I find out more about whats new with NS2 so I'm focusing most of my time on work and graduating (this is my last semester so I'm very close). I do have "completing the digital sets" as my senior project so that will be done early in December. After that I will just have to focus on putting in the aliens (the fun part so I will be able to move the fastest on this), some little particle effects, and a few other little props.
<!--quoteo(post=0:date=:name=whoppaXXL)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(whoppaXXL)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->I hope here stands the Rule - "The longer it takes, the better it'll be.."<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
The think rule holds true, I have learned a lot of new tricks, have new software, better content, and I have been able to change and develop the scenes based on new information and ideas.
Thanks for the support, I can't wait to see what you guys think when I'm done.
<img src="http://www.mojokstudios.com/spaceframes.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> So here is a few frames from the space scene. The film is HD so don't worry, this is not the real resolution. This is also pre-color correction. I will be doing the final color correction at the end.
Very nice, keep up the good work. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Looks amazing, can't wait to see it animated. Only criticism I can think of is that the stars in the background seem a little too bright or large, or both. Assuming they are stars.

Yea I tend to go big and bright with the initial pass, so I have more to play with in color correction.
<img src="http://www.mojokstudios.com/doortest2.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> Still needs a lot of work but here is another shot I have been working on.

Pretty sure the characters are live-action, greenscreen.
Edit: Either way, the shot looks great. Really looking forward to it.

I didn't model the guys. I shot the entire film green screen ahead of time. I must be doing something right if they look that much like they are part of the same environment. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" />

nice job so far.

I think this could become a very good promotion movie. If the movie rocks, everone will be sure NS2 will rock too.
Still needs a lot of work but here is another shot I have been working on.
