    With actors running up to random pedestrians and issuing taunts.

    Well I am on my break and am visiting relatives and such so I haven't had much time to work on this. I will be going back to work on it tomorrow. The helmet is almost done and I have started on the rest of the armor so i will upload something when I get back. I have modeled the Lerk to a low poly version and will be detailing soon.

    <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tsa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::tsa::" border="0" alt="tsa.gif" /> Well here is what the armor looked like earlier today.
    It is getting close to completion now but it looks like chaos at the moment. I'm making sure to make it one size fits most with adjustable straps so it will work for whatever actor gets the part. I'm going to keep working on it tonight so I may upload again if it is ready to wear. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tsa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::tsa::" border="0" alt="tsa.gif" />

    <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tsa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::tsa::" border="0" alt="tsa.gif" /> here is a little update: The armor is very close, most of it is wearable and very adjustable.

    nice, but uh, black colour scheme rather than green? and the TSA 'coat of arms' is gold there, rather than the traditional silver.
    it's not really -that- important; since there's no reason they wouldn't have different coloured armour for marines. *shrug*

    edit: colour scheme for the second team for MvM? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

    The armor I made is actually green, the low light situation and taking the picture with a cell phone makes it hard to tell.
    I think your right about the silver "coat of arms" but I have been working off of this image and its nice to have the <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tsa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::tsa::" border="0" alt="tsa.gif" /> stand out. I don't think it will if it is silver.

    Oh, I never noticed that.

    -

    I notice 'shoulder pads', but do you have the neck guard? Forearm guards(?)? Glove/gauntlets? Boots?

    Its all there except the boots and neck guard. The neck guard i will work on soon and the boots i will get when we have an actor.\

    Here is the low poly obj I made a little bit ago.

    I usually detail in the modeler so it will be fun to detail in zbrush. I will probably up-load my progress later tonight.

    Hey guys,
    Here are a few updates:
    The script is written, I am just having people read it and working with peoples concerns. For the most part the script is done though and I have already made half of the story board for the film. it look like it will be about 8 min.
    You guys mentioned wanting to see a test so we threw one together.
    <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXS1KQ4ysDw" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXS1KQ4ysDw</a>
    It's just a test, I will spend much more time on the final footage.

    I have been doing some weird little tests that I'm not going to upload but here are the pieces I have done that you guys will care about:
    <img src="http://www.mojokstudios.com/Glowythingstart.JPG" border="0" class="linked-image" />
    <img src="http://www.mojokstudios.com/Glowything.JPG" border="0" class="linked-image" />
    <img src="http://www.mojokstudios.com/Hivestart.JPG" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    I'm looking for an animator to take some of the load off me and have found two guys that sound interested. We will see what happens with that.

    I'm probably going to start filming in a week.

    Wow. Looks like some good work with the green screen.

    Nice "glowie" model too, and looking forward to the completion of the hive model.

    I've gotta say though, you've got skill. Are you professional?
  • MojokdirectorMojokdirector Join Date: 2008-02-21 Member: 63705Members
    Thanks everyone for the the positive feedback.

    I'm not a professional, I just make a lot of short films and try to improve in every way I can each time.

    QFT. Yes, please don't rush art.

    (this sound both a like a lot of work and that you have <i>way </i>more spare time than I do)

    my question is on the dome pods, will source render a globe like that? or will it be choppy with the polygons? Also, what editor do you guys use for ns 2, hammer? any chances of getting a pre release of the sdk files when they are ready so we mappers can get started hehe, thanks.
