I think everyone here is forgetting a key point:
Changes are being made to Natural Selection 2 in order to help new players.

I think NS2 is as good as it's going to get.
I got almost 700 hours in the game, played scrims and gathers, watched the championships and posted in the forums, and still play it frequently now - but it's not the same game as I once enjoy… -
Just think: if we all played on 8v8 servers instead of 21v21, your server browsers would look a lot busier, and you'd have considerably more choice on where to play.

I think a better solution would have been to RAISE the amount of Harvesters/Extractors destroyed, but allow it over multiple rounds. With a progress bar for each like other games have.
