Indeed, bring back my rock punching comrade!
-
What if, after you've been stabbed by the Precursor weapon system thing to make sure you'r not infected, it collects your DNA and makes a bio-mechanical you in some creepy cloning bay type of place. And your spooky skeleton bro clone will try and ki…

Duuuude like a bipedal precursor servant thing that's bio-mechanical like the warpers. Except it's all skeleton like and spooky af.
-
That's a good idea, I just see kind of a problem with the random chance thing. It'd have to draw a hell of a lot of power to use just once, otherwise you just use it whenever you have a problem. It would need to be a niche weapon with limited useful…

I'm down with that as well. Some good, quality laughs in Subnatica would be great.
-
I personal see it as kind of a rock puncher queen. Get a two for one creature combo with rock puncher and a giant skeleton nightmare fish. Or a new kind of leviathan. This one would really stand out from the rest of them.
-
I can get behind that, but I still don't get what makes the original idea any good.
-
Unique collectibles in any game are easily the best part, just look at Skyrim. So many named and special artifacts. I would love to see something like this. On a side note, is it safe to assume that the precursors had weapons? Thus the possibility o…

I just want to keep a warper in an aquarium. This could be a way to a disabled one who couldn't warp to study and reverse engineer. Imagine an endgame with warpers to do the work for you. XD

I want more danger as well, but how does the egg work? Where is it found? Why does the player bring it inside? This seems like the wrong thing for the right reason.
-
So? We had/have(?) rock grubs, right? How will this be different? What will it add to the game?
-
Where do the eggs come from? Are they normal fish eggs? What are we talking about here? I like the idea in theory, but I don't think it would work in practice. Bases in Subnatica are to safe, but this isn't a good way to add some danger.
-
I think a bigger map would be great, possibly randomly generated, but I doubt it will happen. Maybe as a mod or something, but it won't happen in the game.
-
Must I clarify again? A different color than you suggested.
-
I'm glad the thread revived well. And that my idea is well liked.
-
Nick, I meant something different than you suggested.
-
Yeah, boats should be in game. Any idiot can build a boat, much less a possible starship engineer.
-
Yeah. Sounds good to me.
-
Well, I don't see why not. It's already been confirmed that warpers are left behind by the precursors to kill any infected being. So a leader sounds plausible and exciting. Maybe a different color scheme though.
-
And this is exactly why I come to the forums. You guys always improve my ideas massively. Just saying, maybe a massive squid in the chasm, and there's a bunch of giant crabs in the cave. So the squid is trapped in the chasm, but it reaches up and dr…

I have to agree with Sig here, adding any harder form of crafting is pointless. It only applies on your first playthough, and after that it becomes, "Oh, now I have to get out of my fabricator menu and open my inventory to combine this." I wager it'…

Impressive. I'm in.
-
Indeed. I would love to see this in game.
-
Yeah, those guys up there are great artists.
-
Well, since terraforming is removed, why not a drill-mech-thing? I don't know if you guys ever did much with legos, but as old as I am I can't force myself to stop collecting and building. But anyways, the Atlantis series would be great inspiration …

It seems thread Necromancy is a debated topic then. I'll build an invincible army of revived threads!
Hmm, threads don't sound nearly as scary as any other reanimated undead. QQ all my tears. -
I like the idea of a walker of some sort, but not in this scale.
-
Well, lets do a bit of thinking about the the world. From what we know, the planet is all ocean. The only exception being the floater island, which I wouldn't count as land, and the island. If the Island is the only one, and if we know if that if th…

There's the word. I'll refrain from further Necromancy in the future.

It's the act of bringing back threads that are no longer relevant, or long forgotten. It's pretty great.
