@scifiwriterguy
Thanks for all the advice!
I have a couple more questions regarding the wiki. Our game is 2.5D (2D made to look 3D), which m… -
Hmm when creep vines clip the base boundaries, I think that's easy enough for the player to avoid by themselves; either move the base, or kill the vines that clip it. It's not like they're going anywhere. However for my list of bugs, I think it's fa…

Can confirm pretty much all of this, in a 2 high containment. I've actually lost a pet crab-squid just by dropping it in. It completely vanished.
Still, the most annoying of these is where they slowly phase through the walls of the conta… -
(Quote) I think it would be cool to have a base-block or corner block (like the water filtration system) dedicated to a self-organising inventory, with a much higher capacity. For technicality, I would have it work the same as the normal inventor…

I also had trouble finding laser cutters. All I had to do however was check the wiki for which biomes they spawn in, and the next one I came to had all the blueprints I needed.
I had a bit of trouble finding rubies, but then I used my no… -
Hm, well the wiki is generally kept up to date scrupulously, I don't see why this page would be any different.

According to the wiki there's a command called Commands which gives you a "complete list of commands; however, not all of them can be viewed due to the limitations of the screen". That's about as much as I can offer you.

I had another gander at the old look vs new look, and it got me thinking. What does the Great Barrier Reef look like?
Great Barrier Reef (Australia):(Quote) I see, well that's being addressed too. It's not an easy one to fix, because of the way clip-boundaries work.(Quote) I'm going to say maybe you take the blood or talon of a Reaper, not the reaper itself. You are not going to kill a reaper. But a body part sounds good.I'm sure there's some software out there that automatically changes mouse sensitivity based on what application is focused. But yeah, I feel you.
I wonder if there's a config file for subnautica that you can inject a decimal number into …The abyss is the edge of the map. It shouldn't even be there. We need this, we need that. Guys, this is a survival game. The cyclops is already verging on end-game material, and you want something bigger? Lets wait until the game's a bit more done first before considering other subs, eh?
Oh and, I …What about a color-changing predator that pretends to be a coral or something? The only indication being that you can occasionally see bubbles or something rising from it.(Quote)
You cannot upload pictures this way. You need to use a website like imgur to upload first, then take the direct link from there. Please edit your previous posts with the new link.(Quote)
I don't think making it a breeze is the point, but I see a pertinent point here. What's the difference between a speargun and a stasis rifle, really? One impales, the other freezes, but both come to the same end.If it would take multiple shots to take out a shark or stalker, I'm all for this. The challenge is timing and aim.(Quote)
As the game currently stands you are right that the battery's only purpose would be to charge the cyclops. I do think solar power is a stretch however. 3D printing is already a thing, and so are synthetic materials (take industrial…(Quote)
You mean in-game days right? Because that's exactly how long you'll be away. A return trip to the mountain takes more than half an in-game day, and lost charge will be, what, 25%? 4 solar panels is really not a lot. IRL you're talk…(Quote)
You could say 30 seconds represents 6-8 hours, but it would have to skip time continuously. Otherwise, if the player does this, then remembers he wanted to do one last thing before tomorrow, he'll have to wait until the morning or …(Quote)
In all your attempts, did you not think to change your strategy a little bit? *cough* Seeaamooth.. *cough*
Also, when FOV becomes a setting in options, they'll be a fair bit easier to dodge.(Quote)
I'm sorry, I just can't conceive the idea of a submarine like that being fully charged by a couple solar panels. That's OP, totally OP. If you want a self-recharging fuel-less cyclops, it should probably require some other kind of …(Quote)
That grey goo bit got me laughing. Just make it impossible to put hatches on the battery and you'll be good.
I think though a battery should be slightly inefficient. Say 10 energy in only produces 8 energy stored, or ma…(Quote) I've done that. It attacked twice and wouldn't leave me alone. Got my seamoth down to 10% and I had to jump out and weld it up quick (I refused to leave the area). It damn near ate me whole while I was welding, but I managed to dodge out …(Quote) I don't actually like this mechanic, but subnautica has done it pretty well.. dying in the game feels like falling unconscious (of course death is inevitable when that happens). Most of the reasons you can take damage are not really that …(Quote)
You can plant rotten fruit.. but I see what you're saying.(Quote)
Cure it with salt. In the experimental version I believe there's more salt spawns than there were before, so this is a viable option.
I agree with this, though I think different choices should have different charge spee…I agree the surface should have some creatures, but I also think some biomes should be barren of life, and I don't like non-interactable creatures either.
