Bah, I was just down visiting him over the weekend. I'll give him a call when I get home, see if he's up to getting back up to speed on this... as far as I knew, he'd decided that there was nothing more he could do (due to the VHE/GTK incompatabilities, and some 'optimizations' aligning textures to faces instead of to world, which makes GTK barf even worse) and washed his hands of it. Though I might be remembering a month or two ago, and he might be back in.. we were discussing compilation matters, possibly letting him snag cycles on my new machine for the final tweak compiles, if Cagey might see fit to release a Linux version of his toolset, compiled to take advantage of the Athlon64 architecture. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Might work. I've just been doing some tweaking by myself now trying to reduce the r_speeds so I can get a copy to Flayra. Anyone know what the most recent statistics have to be for a map? I.E. max r_speeds in commander view, max r_speeds player view, etc...
I've managed to decrease them a bit but I'm not sure what they need to be.

the guidelines are a lil weird with the limits. Even though something says recommended, like the 200 entity limit, but supposidly capped at 300, hehe. Flarya wont let anything over 200, as how he explained it to me. And he said average rspeed for player should be 400 and max at 600, hmmm. I mean, i have no prob with lower limits, but let us know. Or it could just Flarya is touchy.
Alright well for commander now I have about 700 or lower as the usual r_speeds, and it tops out at 1000 in a few places. For the player, most is in the range, but I still have a couple areas that hit 800-900 and I'm having difficulty figuring out what to do to fix it...
