Iam. But the guy has a huge amount of planets. Im talking about over 20. I have over 10 battle ships, 100 destroyers and 20 cruisers but he will keep attacking me. I need an alliance to knock him out.

Daza, sometimes you have just lost, and you really face no option but to fight a long drawn out battle of depressing defeat. I know it sounds a lot like F4, but you just might have to resign and restart. I know its hard, and its depressing at first, but no NS player is there to reinforce you - my suggestion is thus to restart.

Take all the pp you can get - cash it in - donate it to another of ur NS friends, and then resign and have another go. You wont believe how much fun the second time around the game is.

Also on that note - Anyone care to stand in awe and wonder at my referal bonus - 100 a day lol Im toppin the charts!!!!1

i was wondering if we know who ns_docchimpy is he seems to be afk on the ouskirts of my system.
today i will be captuign alpha monkar 4 giving me control of alpha monkar 1-4 and soon i wil be a space khan.
also trol and lord vader are in my sytem but im simpling going to wipe them out.

edit ns_dochimpy is in the tread but not in the first 25 pages so i gave up looking

I'd really like to, but there are a few problems.....

1- I'm at -54 / 37
2- I really dunno how to make na alliance, since I just began to play today..... I am pretty weak

There is no "official" alliance thingy that I've seen. it's more just we agree to help each other out in a bind. By the end of today I should have about 10-20 Destroyers and 2 colony ships. hehe. and my Battleships are gonna cost about 560 by the end of the day, or hopefully 540-520.

Ok, when you colonize a planet, you don't need Combat ships sent to it?

After you get about lvl 18 culture there isnt much to do exept wipe out new players and save for a basalt monolith lvl 2... Anyone near -40 -44 that I can ally with?

It's scary to think how many different players are around you, all with equal or higher levels of power. However, what's really the point once you reach culture 22 or so. Attacking just for fun?

I'm thinking I should probably ally with someone nearby and attack another powerful player. Or should I build up a defensive fleet, since it would be a shame to lose all I have. What do you think?

@Greypaws, I am sorry to suggest this, but maybe you should consider a restart. You have posted for a lot of money. Maybe after the restart you can put a bounty on his head.

@Transmission, where would the fun be if everyone just waited for someone to attack. Just plan your attack carefully, study your opponents sleeping hours. There would be nothing more fun that watching someone drop what they were holding after reading a message similar to that of Greypaws.

Its the best when u get 3 of your allies (each holding 10 planets) to all gang bash a nice experienced player. It doesnt matter if we lose 1, 2 or even 11 battleships like i did. As now we have 4/6 planets sieged. And the furture doesnt look bright for him.

Greypaws I will send several thousand pp - but only if I am one hundred percent certain you are going to win. With about 2000pp, and assuming that that planet is where your pp go when bought by astrodollars, will you be able to have a high enough starbase to beat him?

I only have a fleet of 11 B's adn 90 D's I plan to make this 200 D's and 20 B's before cleaning up a lot of the fledgling empires that are developing in the Alpha Omega Gamma Sector.

Basically I need experience points which means I need to start creating wars.

I'm getting hounded at the moment by a couple of French peeps (rems and Zelaone). They've sent two fleets so far which I've defeated (see below), and two more are on the way. I'm holding them off, barely. What seems to be happening is that they destroy my starbase but then I send in my fleet in to finish them off. My big problem is that I can't get the starbases up to scratch - the fleets they are sending require starbases around the level 11 or 12 mark. My fleet is being whittled down due to losses incurred during each mopping up phase. But I got a surprise in store for rems who's gone after my first planet (Spend All Points anyone ?). He's gonna hit a level 12 starbase. If anyone is near Alpha Alphart (16/48) and wants to help me lay the smack down, I'd be most grateful. If they keep going with the amount they keep sending, I don't think I could survive (its 2v1 at the moment - we're about the same level).

Anyway, I got a few questions:

If I have fleet orbiting one of my planets, does it add to the defense of the starbase ? Or will they count as two separate defenses ? If this is the case, which gets attacked first ?

Does culture only apply on a per-system basis ? Or is does it limit the number of planets I can have regardless of the systems they are in ?

For my fleet, I've gone exclusively for battleships. Is this good or bad ?

Parasite, trade has been explained here somewhere in this monster of a thread, but Ill run you over the basics again. The higher your player level, the better the artifacts you can buy. To buy artifacts you need Astrodollars. To get astrodollars, use the spend all points button. This button appears when you have more than 150 pp accumulated over all your planets. This converts pp into astros which you can then use to buy Artifacts etc.

You can sell SU's, you can sell pp. The only way to transfer PP between planets is to cash all ur pp into astro, then buy pp again. This will dump all the PP it can buy from your astros onto the planet on the top of your list.

Khan, dont worry about money right now - just build yourself up. Get a robo first, then a hydro, then a robo, then a hydro, until you have lvl 4 in both. Then get some gal subnets and start expanding. Have a look on page 5 or 6 of this thread for my nublets astrowars guide.

Creep, the total defence value of your fleet and SB are added together, they fight as one. Dont go exclusively for BS. For the best defence value for your pp in terms of ships, you cant go past the cruiser. I suggest going awol on both the cruisers and the SB, preferably the SB. Use all that planets pp to get SB, and then use your other planets to manufacture cruisers.

Culture ignores starsystems, it limits only the number of planets you have in total.
