    Such a great map, but, 1000!!!!! Wow, uuuum, wow. As for the double res looks like it could cause some gameplay problems fr certain aliens an the marines etc.

    I hate r_sppeds, i have func_wall and hintbrushes here, but ... still 1000 (1100 with train argghhh)

    I'm not sure if you're familiar with the "extra" compile commands that can be used, but adding the <i>-full</i> parameter to HLVIS will embed more visual data into the bsp and ultimately lower r-speeds.

    Just from a visual standpoint it looks as stunning as your avatar. Why don't you just move some of the 1100 w_polys over to the areas with 400 w_polys? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> That is what most people do. Balance out the detail a bit. Sometimes custom textures can replace detail. Black is always a good color for illusions of depth on textures. If nothing helps you are doomed to make model files out of your brushwork. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
    But first try the -full vis compile and HINT planes.
    Amazing work so far. And, yeah, sexy!

    At first glance I thought you were going to faithfully recreate an old spacehulk map. Ahh well but here one thing to change and this goes to almost ALL MAPPERS OUT THERE

    All I can think of is that the fuel tanks need a bit of retexturing, right now they look....plain....

    wow, this is going to be a great map, i really like it, whats the lay out looking like? i would love to see how it will look when done, keep up the good work

    it seems to me that alot of the map is dark, keep the light levels up it helps the game play (me thinks)

    speakiing of airlock, maybe you should have an open airlock in the map that sucks everyone/thing out and kills it in space, and the only way to fix it is to weld somethign WAAAAy on the other side of the map.

    a hint on how to hide those annoying parts of the outside of the ship so that the com cant build on them
    but your skybox ontop of them and then put the "nobuild" texture on the top so that they cant even see it or at least cant build there
