I hate r_sppeds, i have func_wall and hintbrushes here, but ... still 1000 (1100 with train argghhh)

Just from a visual standpoint it looks as stunning as your avatar. Why don't you just move some of the 1100 w_polys over to the areas with 400 w_polys? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> That is what most people do. Balance out the detail a bit. Sometimes custom textures can replace detail. Black is always a good color for illusions of depth on textures. If nothing helps you are doomed to make model files out of your brushwork. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
But first try the -full vis compile and HINT planes.
Amazing work so far. And, yeah, sexy!
Concrete floors do not a convincing spaceship make.
But i know what vis and hintbrushes are.

edit: OHh, and i hope your pipes in that 1000 killer have been funked walled! apart from that, <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->, unlucky with the r_speeds, model that train up, full vis it, and hope!

it seems to me that alot of the map is dark, keep the light levels up it helps the game play (me thinks)

a hint on how to hide those annoying parts of the outside of the ship so that the com cant build on them
but your skybox ontop of them and then put the "nobuild" texture on the top so that they cant even see it or at least cant build there
