    This map will be never official because all this polygon orgy cost r_speeds (my personal limit is 800)

    This map looks realy nice I hope to play it some time.

    Also have your run around in all the areas with an ONOS to see if he fits well in there, because it looks like some areas are a little shot, like they work good for every other chariter, but ONOS is 1.5x the hight of a fade so he would have to duck to get down a hall and a dood with an lev 3 lmg could own him. (or her how you see it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> )

    One question: exactly how big is this map? It looks to be extremely, extremely huge. A couple of ideas, in fuel storage, attach some large pipes to the fuel containers, and make them breakable (have the pipe lead to the engine or something, breakable on both sides). dunno, that room just looked a little empty. And marine start...try to make it a little more open, less complex. Marines should be able to defend it pretty easily. (plus it'll help your r_speeds)

    Heheh, put stuff on the bridge like a major firefight went on, like baricades and tables, but have lots of broken tables and bloodstains of aliens and marines, that would be a cool spooky atmosphere

    maybe the plasma cannons could be operable and fire at an asteroid in space.. an asteroid the <i>aliens will come from!</i>

    maybe it can only fire into the hive area of the rock and aliens instead have a teleporter that teleports them into the ship. How would this be? It could be their method of infestation. Or, the ship could have had scientists investigating the rock via some sort of phase technology, that the aliens then used to attack the ship.

    Or maybe have actual in space combat..

    Maybe the plasma cannons need activation, need fixing or whatnot. Perhaps they can be disabled again. Or simply prevent access to the controls. Have destroyable wiring b/t the bridge and the cannons, and the aliens can build in the manual control room, or destroy power generators.

    Maybe if aliens can take out local power to areas of the ship the backup generators come online and emergency lights turn on. Maybe marines have to do certain things to make sure the backup generators work smoothly. Among other things the train and lifts could be affected.

    I wonder if it is feasible to do antigravity lifts in HL. Perhaps these can be factored into gameplay, and also require fixing/activation in game.

    Yeah, I know about it, but i have most of the map done and I dont want to change the ma style, it will be siple NS map, but some preplace structures I will use.

    About asteroid I was thinking at the begining, I want asteroid to be sticket in the main hull of the ship. This causes the Khaara infestation and evacuation of original crew.

    Heres an idea, have some sort of alien type 'ship' crash into the marine ship as a scripted event (I doubt with ns maps but anyway) and begin infesting the ship, this would allow the marines to build up, but also for the marines.

    Aliens have 1 hive in their ship, and infest two places on the marine ship. Marines can't build where the ship crashes and 'merges' so that aliens and marines can meet.

    I dunno, it would give an actual plot line versus the default ns maps, or even some good maps like ns_delta or europa, everyone just starts, hive areas pre infested, all res nodes open, marines phase in all at once and only place a cc.

    Having a ship crash in would be eye candy, cool though. Ship crashes, any marines near the crash site can get killed by squish or sucked out into space, then the doors close, in a minute or two the alien ship has begun to grow and expand itself onto the ship sealing the hole.

    Ehhh, I can't imagine something like this in Half-life 1 engine, but in HL2 I hope it will be much easlier to make scripted events like this.     BTW, the easter egg - I have in map some talk by announcer from Half-life (Marines must weld doors to get acces to double-res and Aliens have 50 sec to kill them), I'm thinking if marines or aliens "use" something in AI core, the nannouncer say some bull$hit, only for fun <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Yea I know that the HL2 engine is being stretched past its limits, but I can't wait for NS to be ported to HL2!

    Then we can see some cool effects... have some crates or other stuff that gets sucked out into space when the alien ship hits.... but ya I doubt anyone could do this because of the engine
