The "pit bull" argument doesn't fly here. Think how often you'd be able to jump while fleeing from a rabid dog... you certainly couldn't bound your way down an entire city block. A jump OVER a fence, yes, but nothing that lets you zoom around like a racecar.
I'm sorry, but bunnyhopping couldn't happen even in the furthest stretch of reality. We'll all see teleporters and laser guns before we see a human being capable of jumping and moving about like a bunnyhopper.
This is how I feel about it, ANY script run is an unfair advantage over another player...its almost cheating, only you can argue (although its a lousy argument) that the HL engine allows you to do it so its not a cheat....

bunny hopping is a skill.. dont say it isnt. you guys seem to think aliens cant bhop though.. removing bhop will result in aliens having a hard time to manuever around, unless flay has some devious plan for that not to happen

Also, as a side note, Valve lowered the level of bunnyhopping ability in TFC. From what I remember, they kept it in because A. they didn't want to lose the bunnyhopper's 'business' or B. they couldn't, without having to rewrite code, since it would affect the physics of the game.

In a game like CS, bunnyhopping isn't possible. It ceases to be a skill, because you can't do it; if you could find a way to bunnyhop in CS, it would be a cheat.
In NS, bunnyhopping is currently possible, but its future is looking pretty dim. I suppose in that light (no pun intended), you could view it as an exploit, since bunnyhopping to gain speed is going to be eliminated in 1.1 - Flayra has decided it doesn't belong in NS.
In the NS forums, bunnyhopping is a headache. And we all know how to cure a headache.
