Sorry for the double post, I added this message in another thread.

Can anyone help with this error 8083201c? A couple weeks ago, I finished Subnautica on my XB1S, in Survival mode. The following weekend, i traded in my XB1S for a new XB1X. Fresh install of all of my games, including Subnautica. Now when I try to open my save file, which is stored in the cloud, i get the unable to sync your data 8083201c error. I did follow some steps from other threads here, like clearing the local save file copy on my XB1X, but I still cannot download my saved game from the cloud. Can anyone help?

I'm getting the same thing. The game just will not sync. I thought it was something I was doing wrong as I've just upgraded to XB1X. It gets to 99% and fails. Can this be sorted asap as it seems like a major problem.

Sorry to hear that you are having the same problem. Hopefully one of the devs will wander by, with some assistance.

I tested syncing between my XboxOne and XboxOneX and found no issues. I then tested the reverse, again no issues were seen.

Syncing issues are on Microsoft's end I'm afraid, as their service is meant to upload and download everything. The game itself doesn't do any of the work.

So Microsoft is the problem? Is there any way for those of us with this 8083201c error to recover our saved cloud game, or are we just out of luck?

Best idea is to contact Microsoft and ask about it to them.

Most Google results of that error code weren't helpful, though it did show it happens for multiple games, not just subnautica. The only fix that helped anyone was to reboot both your router and your xbox.

I'm not sure if it actually work but I had decided to restart the whole game system and any data shared among (xbox one only) and so far it been okay, may take some time to see if process fully worked, saving error did happen when obtain one of the keys (purple); glishes started once seamoth was built beside the fish swimming through the earth (known: peepers). Just an info. post if can help.

Also upon see a photo, I believe photo 178 (on my game, controller issues for many pics) the game would crash to which exit/closes the whole game; very strange.
