So before the last update it seemed to work just fine, after the update the lag started i thought well that sort of normal but then i got to Aurora and was past the both part of the Prawn room was going to crew part but noticed no floor all see through. So i tested if i could walk on it, i fell into the water which seemed to be working but that is when i realized that i was trapped so i went back in seen the floor was still see through and left. Now that I have been traveling around some the lag has been happening more and now i am crashing this makes the fifth time. So I'm going to take a break it seems like there is a bug or something not working at the moment, I will try to include all the info down below.

Edit:
The main harddrive is a soildstate drive I dont have the spec's on me right now
The drive with all the games is a external harddrive that 5 TB
I had to do this because in the past things would crash or kill the main computer and that it no games, programs nothing this way if the computer dies games still alive same with external drive as well so it is almost impossible for a total fail state to take place.

How is this done?
0x6A7232 introduced the solution to my knowledge. The devs have said this can be a temporary work around for now, but gave caution in doing so. The fix itself is aimed more at continuing save files after major updates, however it seems to work with "resetting" the world and repopulating. For me this has helped, but I find myself doing it 3 - 4 times a day. There is a batch file in 0x6A7232's signature if you need to do it frequently.
I quoted this in my cache cleaning guide so that people are aware, thanks for confirming (explains why my son can spam things in creative mode on Xbox 1 all day and still not lag terribly bad even though most people get to an unplayable state kind of quickly on XB1).
Thanks to both of you i will look into that and see what happens on the lag crashing, it might be because i have not built a base until recently and have several containers full just floating. So would putting them in lockers in base, or using them in construction stop that? Also does that prohibit large bases? Thanks for all the help
EDIT: ok that seems to be working im dumping my stuff in storage out of the under water containers and it seems a little less laggy
I actually start over after each major update so i can use the new stuff so that would not be it for me but thanks
I understand, however it does help to reduce some of the issues we've been having lately. I can confirm as well that the other solution seems much more attractive at this point. Was messing about in a new game and I have had 0 performance issues. Hopefully whatever causes this is gone soon.
What evidence do you have to support such a bold staetment in which you say 100% of the lag proplems are caused by the number of resources picked up throughout the game. I don't mean to be rude but that sounds like a load of nonsense to me, but I would be interested in seeing the evidence you have for this "100%" claim.
I found the crash logs it odd i think they where moved but here they are:

odd they are all Access Violation by sub
Ok that seem to work hopefully that will help the dev's fix whatever it is unless for some reason the drive im using is dying again (note new drive so to have it happen again would be odd)
My apologies, i mean the save file being the issue since i start over each major update there no save file, so i may of missed typed this part and suppose to put in i was going to try this since the save file would not effect me.
