Hi all,
A couple weeks ago, a large number of Youtubers all played NS2 on build 277 (with fast loading). They are starting to post their viewpoints from the game.
TotalBiscuit's is now up:
Polaris Recap/Precap Ep3 - Interview with TotalBiscuit & Wasabi @ ~16:30:
Marine POV by LordMinion777:
Edited Overview of full event from many perspectives:
MunchingBrotato's viewpoint
kootra's POV:
Force Gaming POV:
I will continue to add more videos from this event to this thread.
If you see newbie greens out this week, help them! Thanks all!

Medpacks little grasshopper
Also, drifters aren't one use disposable units.
Natural Selection 2, more like Hidden Game Mechanics 2
-although it has been getting better, the game itself is still a chaotic nuclear war for newbies
From Totalbiscuit's tweet
Also the video posted is just Totalbiscuit's perspective, there will be more videos posted at the polaris channel later this week
Just something to consider as we proceed in our consumption of these videos. Obraxis reached out to the server owners recently, asking us to remind our communities to welcome new players warmly. I think that welcome might include this thread.
The Swalking Dead. It's a big hit.
Have a look at the OP
The first marine pov video has been published as well by now.
I couldn't stand the first few opening minutes. they had no clue about what to do.
LordMinion777 actually seemed to have better aim than certain players I've seen with 2000+ hours - but he lacked the awareness; as you'd expect with any new game. Giving deathcams might help to teach new players to check that spot where the skulk was hiding last time.
Or it might teach new players, that they can go super-fast if they do the walljumping - just like the vet that killed them 10 times over and over.
You can record and review them - there are some glaring bugs and limitations of course.
Though I doubt this will garner more than a temporary spike in player numbers.
Thanks for trying, CDT!
